All the updates are about WII !

When are we going to get info about ps3 version of TW11 ? I don't have a Wii and don't plan on getting it. The ps3 and the Move will have better options and the game comes out in a little over a month. Come on EA, give us ps3 users some love.

I feel your pain... there's something very peculiar going on behind the scenes with the PS3 and 360 versions, IMO. I'm think that once the full information comes out about these two versions, we'll probably be better able to understand why the delay was necessary. It's awfully frustrating to sit back and watch all the news breaking about the Wii version, yet we haven't even seen a clip of True View in action on the PS3 or 360??

I totally agree, you would think with the Wii being a family oriented console it would be different.

I would say most PS3 and 360 owners are hardcore gamers and don't care too much in what's going on with Tiger.

Maybe we'll get some info after the PSP and Iphone details are released.

What I want to find out about Tiger for the ps3 is what courses are on the disc, what DLC they are planning to come out with, and will DLC be able to be used for career mode and create a course. I"d like to have tour season go on for 30 or so tournaments with the majors changing every year. Its tough playing the same course for the same tournament each and every season. Give us an option to create a tournament from the available courses to make the season take longer to finish.

I have an idea as to why there is a delay, but I can't reveal what it is. If it is what I think it might be, it is HUGE (in a good way). Sorry I can't say more as I cannot confirm yet what I am suspecting. Then again, it could be all about nothing more than I already know. If the delay has anything to do with what I think it might, then there is a VERY good reason why they aren't saying anything about the game yet.

          Stay tuned....

I'm usually not one to prejudge, but the fact that they haven't put out anything other than Ryder Cup mode about the 360/PS3 versions certainly has me skeptical. Definitely looking like TW 10 is going to be it for me for the next year. And as a 360 owner the Move control stuff really doesn't affect me either.

Its really hard to believe with the game coming out in a month thats all the info we know about the game, which is not much. I might be sticking with TW 10 too.

Either they are going to add Augusta (which I highly doubt) , or some kind of course editor to allow us to create our own courses (there's a better chance winning Powerball or Megamillions here in Ohio than the points stated above). I'd like to hear of what other people are thinking !

I've got a few ideas as to what this *could* be... nothing scientific mind you:

1.) They've figured out some way of including a course designer tool into the game. If ProStroke Golf 2007 had it on a last gen console, why not for the PS3 and 360?

2.) There will be some way that PS3/360 users can play against each other and PC users through TWO. That would have to come through some third party interface of which I can't imagine right now.

3.) The XBox 360 is getting Natal support after all.

4.) It's as Shaun mentioned above, EA Sports somehow landed the rights to Augusta National.

Very curious to see what's coming now.... I'm patient - I can wait

Augusta would be sweet , but it probably won't happen. Pro Stroke's course editor, to me, was really difficult to use. You always seemed to have Oakmont sized greens and you could never seem to get the hills correct. If EA found a way to add a course editor, it was have to be user friendly. Plus those who were good making courses, would need to be able to share those courses with other ps3 or Xbox users. There was a place to add coures and download them for the PC, and I am sure they could use that tool, if it was made available.

Re: All the updates are about WII !

I'm looking for some info on the 360 version as well.

A pre-order from Gamestop will get you the Riviera course free. Seeing as those are usually 800 points, that's a good deal. I normally would wait for the game to come out to see how it is, but I really don't want to go out and spend money on a course I could get for nothing.

The only thing I found that was not version specific (as far as I can tell):

Realistic Shot Spread Within Aiming Circle – In last year’s game, your shot would land in the center of the aiming circle if you hit it perfectly. While this offered a very precise way to play the game, we wanted to create a more realistic landing pattern with Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11. So we implemented a new physics system that emulates human error much more closely. In this year’s game, the ball will still land within the aiming circle if hit perfectly, but not necessarily in the center. The new system will create a more realistic landing pattern within the aiming circle than ever before.
This alone should be worth the $60 for me, as hopefully this means that the kiddies can't go out and shoot the same score every time.

Nice try but I'll give you 10 to 1 odds it's not any of that and more likely that it's something like the ability to use DL courses into career mode, at a slightly higher fee than last year, something around $10 a course, of course.

I never really tried ProStroke's course editor. I only rented the game and spent most of my time trying to get the hang of their weight transfer, dual stick interface. At times it really felt great, but the short game, particularly putting was lacking. The Pictures of some of the courses I saw which had been made from the course editor did look pretty plain and featureless.

If EA found a way to add a course editor, it was have to be user friendly. Plus those who were good making courses, would need to be able to share those courses with other ps3 or Xbox users.
I'm sure EA's course editor (if such a thing were added) would be a notch or two above ProStroke's. They've had far more experience in this area.

As for sharing them, I'm not sure how they would do it. Maybe Gamernet would be a way to make it happen? Heck, Avatar Golf has a course sharing mechanism, although it wouldn't be practical for courses that would be of the file size created for TW 11. It allows you to share courses you've created with those on your friend's list. You'd need a broader market solution for TW 11 courses.

I'd say that most of my guesses have a Polly-Anna'ish basis... they're pipe dreams. I did forget one possibility that would probably be the most likely reason for the delay... Suppose EA's figured a way to allow for user created Live Tournaments... both Dailies and Weeklies? Customizable Live Tournaments could really get creative and allow for some personal flair. Clubs or leagues could create a tournament and have it password protected. The possiblities are endless....

I'm curious to see if your thought about DL courses being usable in Career mode. I do know that the game's Senior Designer took that recommendation to heart last year and stated he'd look into it.

Didn't he already state last year that it was too late to incorporate into TW10 and would be in TW11. I'm thinking worst case scenario that has to be one of the things included this year. It better be, actually it doesn't really matter to me because I refuse to shell out extra cash for courses that should already be included.
