    Franchise Vs. Season Dilemma

    Here's my dilemma:

I don't have a lot of time to play. I have a franchise, I play games, skip to every 6th game or so. Very fun. But as the season goes on, I'm afraid my time constraints are going to take away from my amateur draft, call-ups, etc. Plus, I don't manage the "business aspect" very much.

If I start over and play a season, what are the differences? You can still play multiple seasons right? What is taken out? I'm pretty sure they take out the minors so how many players are on my "season" roster? Do they just put on all of the players who have put some time in the majors? If there are multiple seasons are there still rookie drafts to still build a team from season to season?

Any clarifacation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can still play multiple seasons right? Correct

What is taken out? Minor leagues, buisness management, team management, i.e. transportation, upgrading equipment, etc.. not sure what else.

I'm pretty sure they take out the minors so how many players are on my "season" roster? 40, 25 active 15 "inactive'

Do they just put on all of the players who have put some time in the majors? Pretty much yes.

If there are multiple seasons are there still rookie drafts to still build a team from season to season? Not sure haven't gotten that far yet.

Good to know. Thanks for that. Hopefully there will be some clarification about the drafts and such. If you could draft players and decide to just make them active or inactive that may be more my cup of tea.

All the things taken out of "Season" mode like business, transportation, etc. are things I never really looked at much anyway so I probably wouldn't miss them.

It would be cool if there was still some sort of draft in season mode. If it ended up being like a Madden franchise with a draft and management of rookies without some of the minor league stuff that would be ideal even though it may not be "realistic". Just my opinion.

Yeah, Franchise used to be the ony way for me but with so many additions and features it got too far out of hand for me to handle with my already busy schedule. the one thing I miss is the minor leagues/games but I just want to play a season as my favorite team anyway and then I'm usually done with it.

Just to clarify, I dont think you can play mutilple seasons.

When playing a season mode you cant go to 2011, it ends at 2010 and then you can start ANOTHER season....

          Or am I wrong?

See I always thought that too but then I thought I read in this forum before that there are multiple seasons. I was surprised. Maybe when I get a chance I'll sim one and see what happens.

So I simmed a season to see what happens and there is the amateur draft in the middle of the year and a full off season! This may be old news to some people but this is perfect for me. Less minor league management but still the feeling of building a team.

                I think that answers it.

Does anyone know if doing a season mode instead of a franchise fixes the problem of having so many of the star players being not signed as free agents after 3 or 4 years
