Did Madden 11 remove the umpire?

Just glancing over some Madden 10 videos to compare them to some Madden 11 videos that were put out around this time last year and noticed that the umpire is missing from the gameplay videos. Is there something I'm missing? I did see the side judge and back judge, but no umpire.

Behind the QB would be the referee not the umpire. The umpire stands behind the defensive line and linebackers. And looking at Madden 11's gameplay trailer I dont see anyone behind the QB either.

New NFL rule passed this spring. Umpire is behind the offense.

Behind the QB would be the referee not the umpire. The umpire stands behind the defensive line and linebackers. And looking at Madden 11's gameplay trailer I dont see anyone behind the QB either.

The NFL changed the rules this year cuz too many umpires have been getting hurt. Both the referee and the umpire stand behind the QB now. I definitely saw this change represented in a Madden 11 clip too.

good rule IMO. after i saw the one ref last year get faceplanted on what looked IMO a deliberate hit by a db/lb, it was needed. i wanna say that was a vikings game late in the season...it was one of the worst i think ive seen cuz he had his back turned following the break away towards the endzone and some idiot who def saw the ref shoved the crap outta him in the back going full speed and made him go off his feet and eat dirt. i thought the old guy was gonna be missing teeth and all after that

Good eye, dude. I didn't catch that. As the others have stated this is correct starting this year.
