EA,wgy are NHL fans getting what Madden fans have been asking for?

I can't believe EA Canada has incorporated "Real Time Physics" into their engine. This is EXACTLY what most Maddens fans have been asking for for many years. This is what i though "next gen" was going to be about.

I can't wait to see this real time physics engine in motion during gameplay. Just frustrating Tiburon has been struggling mightily for years with their physics engine. If this is actual real time physics, GONE are the days of the same old canned animations happening over and over again. A truely realistic, organic experience.

That's EA Canada but Tiburon,like us,is in the good ole U.S. of A.

I can't believe that they will add this to a game that sells like 1/20th of what madden does every year. I guess we will have to see how backbreaker is.

NHL has competition. Madden doesn't.

Actually, this year, I don't believe NHL has competition. The 2k series took a year off of hockey, if I'm not mistaken.

Actually, this year, I don't believe NHL has competition. The 2k series took a year off of hockey, if I'm not mistaken.

Correct. 2k11 is Wii only this year while they tweak their NHL series. NHL 11 won't even be on the Wii this year I believe.

It has Competition. I think madden is being more competitive. I think they want to be better than the other EA sports titles(NHL and FIFA).

NHL and Fifa have been 10x better than madden for a long time and i have not seen that much of an attempt to close that gap

I can now say that my theory of EA not having the technology to make physics is thrown out the window. There's just no excuse why physics aren't in Madden.

I'm sure sooner are later they will use this engine in madden later on down the road. For now there is nothing we can do about it. Accept whine and cry to EA for next year madden to have NHL 11 engine.

FIFA sells well over 10 million copies.

Also. FIFA and NHL are both made by EA Canada.

Maybe we can outsource Madden to EA Canada as well.

FIFA has proven that you don't even need to understand the sport to create a good game.

Well I know is that EA canada and EA usa is all the same company. I'm sure if this Engine for NHL works out great and the locomotion engine fails yet again. I'm sure EA will start using NHL new engine in future madden and ncaa games. For now NHL 11 is the first to use it. If it becomes success. Then madden and ncaa will follow behind in a few years. I would love to see the NHL engine in madden and ncaa. But it won't happen this year. I'm sure by madden 12 it will be in. Espcially if the NFL lockout happens. Then Madden could be delayed a year and would give EA time to implant the NHL engine into madden. Who knows. It is a wait and see game at this point.
