Bullpen freeze fix?

How do you play the game despite this problem? I mean, it looks like there's a fix because I don't see everybody complaining. When there was the 3rd out problem people were very agitated. To me, this problem is much worse, yet, I don't see much complaining. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

Yeah, I've had one in about 100 games played...it happened right after I 'X'd' out of a homerun replay....

I've never had a freeze in the pen on mine. I've always entered it from the quick menu.

Oh yeah, I use the quick menu too...that could be the workaround right there...

Just happened to me tonight first time Cubs me losing 8-6 to cards.
1st and third nobody out Carlos Z up in the 8th and I go into quick menu and warm up two pitchers and went to pinch hit and the screen was frozen .
I tried everything controller Off /On ect but nothing .
QUESTION is this AVOIDIBLE by just not using the quick menu ?

I got this once after patch two and twice after patch three out of a VERY small percentage of times I used the quick menu...

So...I don't use the quick menu anymore...

I have found the fix for this problem. It's happened to me about three times in my last ten games or so. Always happens in the late innings too.

Anyway, the fix I found is to go into options and and turn on "Warm Up Pitchers". The problem I was having was when selecting a pitcher to warm up. After I would select someone, I would exit the bullpen and then the game would freeze on me.

If you turn on warming up pitcher, then all you have to do is go into the bullpen only when you want to make a change and just bring someone right in already warmed up.

Kind of sucks, but it seems to be the only way around it that I have seen. Hope this helps you.

Well I always played with warm up on incase time was a issue but I still would warm up anyways .
So ill just bring guys in and not warm up anymore hopefully it works.

I've had this happen four times since downloading the final patch, and it's very annoying. Has anyone had a freeze using the Quick Menu (d-pad buttons) instead of going to the pen through the start menu? I like having to warm up my pitchers and would like to keep that option if possible.

I've not had a freeze problem via the quick menu. Don't think I've ever entered the pen from pause.

For clarification, how are you guys entering the bullpen: from pause or quick menu and is it freezing when you do that?

My freezes have been through the pause menu. I sometimes enter the bullpen from there because I pause to check the CPU lineup before picking who to warm up.

You know that the bullpen shows at the bottom who's due for the opposing team right?

Right, but just for the next three batters. Sometimes I like to peek ahead a few more so I know whether to warm up additional pitchers in case I have a L/R switch with the fourth guy and my reliever doesn't get the first three out. I'll just back out of the pause menu and then go to the quick menu from now on.
