Players you trade for

I think it would be fun to come up with a list of players that are great to trade for. For example, Patrick Willis comes with a 5 year 1.3 million a year contract that can't be beat. I used to draft everybody and build my team the "right" way. but when you trade for players you get a player with zero penalty to cutting or trading in the future, that is already developed. I find this is a must for positions that don't develope properly, like TE.

Some others:
CB Aaron Ross - Great Man/hawk and kick returner at 1.6m for 4 years
FS Michael Griffin - can play FS, SS, and CB at 1.0m for 4 years
DT Omobi Okoye - 20 y/o DT can play DE in 3-4 or one-gap in 4-3 at 1.5 for 5 years
MLB Jon Beason - no weaknessess can play any LB spot at 1.4 for 5 years.
QB Carson Palmer - In-game HoF QB for 7 years at 2.0m!

RE Elvis Doomerville - good 87 ovr DE for a third round pick broncos
QB Vince Young - 89 pot great option QB titans - late 1st, or 2 seconds

Great guys for Undersized Speed rusher and Mobile QB respectively. Thats what I love about HC, philosophies make all the difference. As one-gap penetrator you wouldn't give DT Hank Smithers a second look, but at run-stopper you would see a POT of 85. Keep it up!

Yeah suckish pocket QBs have way more trade value than star scrambling QBs

Yeah off topic but I madden I used to sign a bunch of FA HBs and trade tham all for 3rd round picks. Then I traded those for seconds, Anne those for firsts. But then I realized that was so cheap

Mauria from my home state of HI. eat 300lb's of blocking FB! Well...I never use a FB, because TE's are stupidly good in the game unless you actually want to develop one yourself.

Yeah FBs are so weird in this game. Backup TEs do great as flexbone option FBs, backup centers are good I formation blocking FBs and if u run a spread and don't want to carry a FB u could put your starting TE at fullback in Gun - 2hb - 3 wr sets

Yeah now that defenders are faster it's harder to run outside so HBs are either become pounders or one cut zone runners. Becasue u don't need a inside FB any more they just block. As a high school Wing T pulling guard I really respect lead blockers

As a HS MLB I respect them too. If I wanted to get hurt trying to make a play instead of being the one to lay the hit, I wouldn't have played defense lol

Which now make sme angry again about the blocking and OL in HC.

Yeah the Jets better be thankful for the emergence of the Spread offense because stud Kentucky FB John Connor slipped them in the 5th round due to positional value. If he played in the 70s where FBs were used he would of went first round

I'm a Steeler fan, as my avatar proudly displays, but the Jets were my number 2 team last year. I always liked Rex, and I prefer "ugly" football. You just got Santonio from us...Cromartie, LT...it's gonna be a good year. Jusdt promise to beat the Pats b/c I live in Boston now and I HATE them.

Yeah u can browse all the complaints I had about the pats in prievous threads I hate their guts. I like the steelers too because of Dick LeBeau and his defense. But I like them less once they gave up running the ball not many people know but during the Steelers superbowl parade one of the fans shouted "get a fullback you jerks" - the working class loves smashmouth football
