Draft path tied to preseason success?

Let me preface this by saying I usually supersim the preseason games, and am lucky to win 1 or 2. I always get the Zazzali path, and have to re-load if I want something different. I played all the preseason games this time, and I went 4-0 in preseason. I got the Jack English draft path this time, so I'm wondering if path is tied to preseason success. Those of you who do get the easy paths like English, how do you generally do in the preseason? Those of you who get the hard ones like Zazzali or Sweetney, do you sim or supersim the preseason? It may very well be that the preseason games do matter. I may do a sim text next time I start a dynasty and see if path is affected by the number of games I win.

Nice idea but I don't think so. Else, how do you explain the path changing on re-load.

I ALWAYS get the English path first and have to reload a couple times every new career. I sim all Preseason games and go 0-4 a lot of the time.

I did some test simming, and it looks like I was wrong about this. I started a new Bills dynasty, went 3-1 in the preseason, and got the Zazzali path. I also checked to see if difficulty had an impact, simmed preseason with the New England Patriots, and drew the Ozzie Jones path. Back to Square 1.

Yeah, I think the fact that people have played the game for so long that they start seeing patterns in the random draft classes show how much we need an new Head Coach... You know, before we all go crazy.
