Re: Heat Trade Daequan Cook & 18th pick to Thunder for 32nd pick
I'll post what I said in the draft thread.
The Thunder have a handful of picks now. They have the 18th, 21st, 26th, and a couple second rounders.
If they package them with one of their young players, they can pull off a huge trade.
Also added Cook, who is on his final year. A good chance to get a look at him to see if he will develop any more. The Thunder love these kind of trades. They use their cap space wisely, accepting to help other teams with their cap issues, but those teams must send young players/picks in return.
Miami frees up more space for 2010. They have enough room for 2 max guys (Wade and someone else) and have 10 million to spare.
And we could use a rumour thread or trade thread or something for those smaller deals.Comment

Loving this trade for the Thunder. Get another pick to bundle together to possibly move up plus a good wing shooter (something we are lacking) to possibly get minutes.
Still dont know who we are moving up to draft though.. It seems to me the most logical choice is Epke Udoh, a hometown kid. I dont see them being able to trade in to get Favors or Cousins so am kind of confused on that front..Comment

whos gonna be available at 10?....
sucks to lose Maynor.. he was a decent backup for Westbrook.. but hey.. that wouldnt be a bad deal if we could get a contributor in the draft.. Sam Presti is a great GM... doing amazing things for OKCComment

Ed Davis maybe, Cole Aldrich, Ekpe Udoh probably, Patrick Patterson. I'm assuming they're going big in the draft.
Also, I'm assuming this is a salary dump for Miami, but this trade still makes zero sense to me.Last edited by Hassan Darkside; 06-23-2010, 08:14 PM.[NYK|DAL|VT]

For miami its merely salary dump to try and go after Lebron...
God.. if OKC drafts Aldrich shoot me in the face.. Going to be a major flop in the NBA. You have to be an athlete to play in the NBA.. Aldrich is not..
Udoh is the logical choice.. Though he will still be a project... maybe they will package the picks for a player somewhere.. dont know..Comment
