Please tell me there is a way to do this on NBA 2K10? Hiring Monty Williams as the Hornets head coach, and Tags for the Bulls head coach.

I really dislike this as well. I hope there is some sort of change in the coach hiring system in 2k11...

Yep, like the ability to not to have to hire a coach as soon as one is fired in the off season.

I was dissapointed as well.

It would be cool if there was a CH 2K8-like Carousal system for 2K11 . Like each team chooses 5 potential canidates, then an order is established for which teams get first choice for their coach based on factors like previous years record, talent, chemistry, prestige, etc. Team's canidate list could become dwindled down as more coaches are hired. The coaches could also have wants that would factor in where they want to go, like "Coach for a winning team", "Coach in big market", "Have good team talent", "Have good team potential", "Have a lot of free agent money"...Assistant coaches could be like restricted free agents, with their current team having first dibs.

This is something that annoys med too.
I played with the Bulls, and when Del Negro's contract was up I wanted to give the head coaching job to Del Harris but I couldn't. Hope this has been fixed for next year.
