How do you turn OFF Player NAMES!?...its distracting during PLAY
 

Folks....I cant figure out the settings option to TURN OFF Player names display on the field. The big white pixelated player name fonts under all the players is distracting and ruins the illusion of realism for me.

And I cant figure out how to reset my ROSTERS to remove player auto names either...

Can anyone help with either of these?

It's funny, I was just having a problem last night getting player names to even show up.
I used KU at Texas and there were no names showing up. Then I used Akron at Wisconsin...no names still. I then played OU at KU and all the names were there. It seemed like it was just randomly not loading the player names during gameplay.
I don't have an answer to your question, but I looked all through the menus and never found an option to turn off/on player names.
I want them on all the time so I know who's lining up where and where I want to go with the ball.

Well as far as the auto names showing up, simply delete the roster file from your hard drive.

Make sure auto save is turned off though before you delete it, otherwise it will pull the rosters from your profile some how and load the named ones again

thanks...I dont even believe there is a way to turn OFF visuals like names and numbers under the players....its very distracting when you have long names

any chance a patch could give us the option?........or have I just not found this hidden option to toggle it off?

I second this thread, EA should give us a patch to disable player names on the field, it's very annoying.

Especially on Kickoffs when the names are larger than the players lol.

ehhh gadds!....I didnt realize how annoying and distracting this really is until you enable AUTO NAME rosters!

With the default rosters it was bearable with just the label like MLB #56 under a player during the action but when a players name is like Bosworth or Manakowski.....ARRGH! Couldnt EA have used a smaller and more anti aliased font??......or at least give us the option to turn of visual stuff like this the way MADDEN does??

I would love to see this in a patch
