Will you need an Online pass to receive roster updates, does anybody know?

Suppose you buy a used copy, will you still be able to update your roster?

Yes you will need a online pass to access a roster update. Because for you to recieve a roster update you must first play a game online. If you buy a used copy then you will have to pay 5 bucks for a pass for online play. But if you get a new copy you should get a code for a free online pass automatically. But yes you will need online pass to update the roster.

You could download the file and then copy it to your PS3.

They shouldn't require Online Pass for what is essentialy a Bug Fix / Patch. If the rosters were correct on day 1, then you wouldn't ever need to download them.

they can't get them exactly right on day one, due to having to have a roster cutoff date in order to be able to ship the game.

And if someone buys the game used, they have 7 days of a free trial period with Online Pass, so they could download the latest roster update within that timeframe, without having to essentially pay for it. :)

Yes you will. You will need the Online pass but there is a free 7 day trail for those who don't buy the game new. Therefore, you will be able to download the latest roster update, without having to spend any money. :)

You dont need the online pass for roster updates.
If someone could post them here or somewhere else you could then d/l them.As long as Madden lets you copy files.NCAA had restricted users from copying files last year BUT this year you are able to copy files:)

My brother and I share a PS3. Will both of us be able to log into our own profiles on my system with a single online pass? Or do we need to pay buy a second pass, just so he can get trophies and have his own Ultimate Team??
