Passing Game Broken

I was having some issues passing, but wrote it off to being hit during the pass or just good coverage....

then i tried this experiment: I went to practice mode and used Iowa vs. Purdue

Iowa has a good QB and decent #1 receiver, I went to practice and tried wheel routes against 1 on 1 coverage against a average corner with no safety help (had him blitzing). I think i went 3 for 20. I tried all sorts of passes: lobs, leads, bullet leads... nothing. Apparently passing is broken

Does anyone have any suggestions? I believe I tried everything... too bad because another patch is probably far off.

I don't seem to have that problem. I'm doing my dynasty with Western Kentucky and don't have any problems with the passing game other than normal **** I would encounter because it's WKU lol

Everything's fine if I pass to a player WHO'S COMPLETELY open. Yes, you can play that way, but I would like to be able to throw to the corners... Even my wife was like "Really?" after seeing it in practice.

My only passing game issue is lobbing the ball deep to a guy who's wide open. A lot of the times he'll beat the ball to the spot, and instead of turning around really fast, he'll turn casually and the ball hits him in the back.

Probably my fault for lobbing, but still.

I haven't really seen the problem but some have. Adjust the CPU pass coverage down and you should see an improvement.

That is if you play offline mostly.

I play online so that won't work for me... glad someone agrees with me though.... im really down now though because I was having a blast with the game...

Are you using precision passing? If you use your left-stick you can throw a pass to the left/right/where-ever of the receiver and he'll come to it and generally the CB doesn't always follow.

Playing with Iowa in my Franchise...averaging only ~150 yards per game with like 40% completion through the air and have thrown 9 int's in 5 games :-/ same problems here

hmmmm I don't have a problem with passing. If anything I thought passing was TOO EASY this year. But ya know move some sliders around. Sliders actually work well this year and you can easily notice a difference with a 5 point or 10 point increase or decrease of a particular slider.

Even when I'm throwing to AJ Green, this will happen. Never happened before in an NCAA title that I know of, so why now? We need a major patch soon.

Yes, i've tried it with the lob and the bullet. I also tried throwing the ball "high and away" and "low and away"... When leading the CB gets a speed boost when the ball arrives and bats the ball or intercepts it... Try the experiment, you'll lol.

No offense, but I really dislike when people bring sliders up... of course I could make the whole game easier by dropping all of the sliders down. Hold on, no I can't because they don't let you do that online which is the only mode I play. The game is broken and needs to be patched.

With the sliders my OD is using passing is near perfect. You can even use timing routes. So chalk this up to user error

you must be on Heisman or something because i just ran deep routes with LSU in practice mode, sent #8 Terrance Toliver on a streak and blitzed the safety on that side and he caught it almost every single time

Basically, you can't apply real football knowledge to this game. Leverage means almost nothing on routes and players in coverage just run without purpose. Its really sad that a corner rarely uses their cushion and just decides to run next to the receiver and when the receiver breaks down for his cut, the corner just goes pretty much saying thank to the receiver for slow down so that the cover man can jump the route. Defense is about read and react. It seems like EA has forgotten about the sim player again in favor of the player that drops 7 yards out of the gun and lobs crossing routes.
