Got to love EA

Only 3 slots available on Ea Sports World for photo's, want more? You have to buy them

This is what you get when there's no competition in the market

Re: Got to love EA

I believe there are more than 3, aren't there 5? How do you buy more? It says go to easportsworld.com and I go there and I can't find any way to purchase more. Does anyone know?

And btw - speaking of competition, where is the equivalent of EASportsworld for MLB The Show or NBA 2K11 or PES? None of them have any and they all have competition so your argument makes no sense if your intent is to criticize EA for how it manages EASportsworld.

Re: Got to love EA

I just checked and I have 6 videos now on EASportsWorld so you do have at least 6 slots, not 3.

Re: Got to love EA

just take the photos, and upload them to another site(like photobucket). problem solved.

the videos, upload them to youtube. no converting needed as youtube will accept the format of the EASW .flv video format.

Re: Got to love EA

that's not a bad idea but honestly I'd be willing to pay a small fee rather than converting and uploading. depends on how much it costs. i guess no one knows how you can even pay ea to do it though since i've seen the question asked elsewhere and go unanswered.

And if you were in business, you'd do the same things. The "competition" as you call it would do the same stuff.

Big Business isn't a playing field for "Oh...let's just do all of the happy good feeling things for our customers" 100% of the time, ok? It's called making decisions, maximizing revenue, and having responsibilities to your employees, your shareholders, etc.

There's an easy for you to stop supporting that business model, but we both know that's not going to happen.

you don't need to convert anything though. the photos upload directly to photobucket(or equivalent), and the videos directly to youtube.

How do you upload directly from the game to photobucket?

from the EA site, not directly from the game.

so you basically save the max allowed and then upload them to photobucket from their website ? (and then rinse and repeat)

Oh, ok. I can do that. I thought there was some way from the game. Thanks Solidice.

Re: Got to love EA

The other sports games companies who do have competition don't even offer any option, let alone offer more than 6 videos, so the OP's argument is flawed and not well thought out. With that being said I would love to see competitors be allowed to make football games. However, I really don't think that bringing up this particular point, regarding EASportsworld, is one that works well to make the case for needing competition.

that is what I did in the past. photos have a very short upload time, so it's not really a big deal.

haven't needed to do it that much this year as Dynasty Wire uploads everything for me and it doesn't take up any media slots.

actually at least for their NBA game 2K lets you upload as many videos as you want to, free of charge. The quality isnīt top notch, but the option is there (and their reel-maker is an amazing tool, miss that ability to change camera angle and zoom with this game)

thanks, thatīs certainly doable. Was just asking since being new to the PS3 i imagined there might be an option to do it from the system.

Dynasty Wire is indeed intriguing for that very reason, however the inability (or is there a possibility ?) to make a backup save for online dynasty kind of gives me shivers ...

I also miss having the option to create recruits before the start of a season, from my test run it seems itīs just not an option in an online dynasty as opposed to offline where you get prompted to do it upon pressing on "set recruiting board" .
