Okay that made me chuckle a little bit..

But then shake my head in disappointment. Because the animation triggered about 6 or 7 guys just fell to the ground like they were playing ring around the rosie.

i've been thinking the same thing. they hyped it so much last year. and then made the claim that their biggest focus this year was game play. so obviously, my first thought was that they must have made pro-tak an even bigger deal this year. and yet, vid after vid i see no evidence of pro-tak in the game.

I don't think words can express how sad that video is. I can only hope that's on Rookie with tackling sliders turned all the way down or something. There's just no excuse for that.

This one video could probably lose EA $10000 in sales... Thats horrible, and even in NCAA 11 they have great gang tackling in these instances.

Pffft....NCAA has the same issues as Madden as far as tackling goes. There aren't that many gang tackles in NCAA either so I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Some of you need to stop blindly defending and/or supporting EA games.

Not defending this, AT ALL, but this is nothing new. You can look at any video of Madden, including 10, and see this same thing on just about every play.

Madden doesn't do a good job with tackling. Never did. Probably won't until it has a bona fide physics engine.

No, gang tackling is still very much in Madden 11. I've seen it a bunch of times in the demo.

Gang tackles are there (although not gang tackles) but more often than not, you get that animation where everyone falls around the ball carrier while ONE guy makes the tackle.

Its a result of a TIRED game engine that ran its course 5 yrs ago (or longer).

That is just a sad representation of video game football in 2010. How can a company as powerful as EA let that go out the door stamped GOLD. I will not be paying for that.

Playing Madden the last few years was like going through the Cowboys 3 straight 5-11 years, it just plain sucks. Can we go back to the glory days and updated PS2 version of Madden lol.
