EA should really re-introduce this letting the users pick what players they wanna train and what drills they wanna do during training camp

Yes, I really miss this, it was a nice break from the monotony of franchise at times and it was a great way to improve the players skills. I really miss the Pocket Presence one, had a great time doing that. Plus many players and especially rookies can really increase their ratings (so to speak) in real life training camp, look at Marques Colston. So it offered a chance to help make it more realistic in that aspect.

yep it was alot of fun, they coulda improved and built upon it, but nope, another great feature of last gen left at the wayside.

I thought it got repetitive. It didn't/couldn't change from one year to the next. So it was in the game for about 3-4 years but never altered and eventually just became something I overlooked.

the only problem with it was that you could alter to many physical attributes, take that down and put a lower cap on the amount of points and allowed the cpu to do the same it would of been money

I always liked to "try out" my new rookies in the training camp mode....

I wish they would bring it back... I thought I remember having it in early next gen Maddens....

Wasn't there a camp in there? or am I imagining it?

Yeah they could even call it a new feature and tout it on the back of the box as all new to next generation Madden!

Personally I liked it, and I liked the newspaper story thing and Tony Bruno radio show, but those are long gone.

Tony Bruno was a great touch and it made the usually hoe-hum task of game planning for next game, adjusting rosters or looking at stats lively.

Last-gen Madden still offers the best franchise experience, sadly.

I had a lot of good times with the PC versions of Madden 06 - 08.

This. I remember testing it out and I would run the 40 with Roy Williams and Antonio Bryant. I checked to see how high you could get a players speed rating. I kept thinking eventually they'd have to stop letting me raise it, unfortunately I got both to 99 speed .

It isn't the end of the world though, only some restraint would be necessary.

With the person above..there was no drill that raised speed AFAIK. I LOVED training camp. I spend the biggest bulk of my time in Franchise, and it really annoys me that they haven't even come to the level of last gen franchise...let alone build on it. Training camp was awesome.
