Actually, to be fair, this was a complaint last year too...Ian said the art department would screw up something big

In the grand scheme of things there's about 1,432 other things needed improved upon before ball size is even in the same chapter. Either way it didn't need a thread all to itself.

The devs said that if they were to shrink the ball, it would totally break the animation system. So the answer would be no, until they do something about the current engines.

Well I can see this , though. You'd have recievers arms wrapping around ball + air. You'd have qb's holding onto air. You' d have to re-do any animation that involves a ball, to make every player involved close his arms tighter...it's not just re-drawing a ball

Lots of things still need fixed, ball size is one of the more glaring visual aspects that need addressed 2+ years into the 'rebirth' of Madden.

I'm surprised no one is complaining about the stride length players are taking. How does a brand new locomotion system, that supposedly has completely new animation captures produce running animations of players take 3 and 4 yard strides (that's 9 to 12 feet).

Per a study I found they have the average male stride length at around 7 feet 9 inches in the 800 metres.

If anyone else has better metrics, please post.
