I have to say, I'm not a big fan of the graphics on the demo at all. I play on 360 btw. The players look kind of cartoonish and wii-ish. I hope that this is just because it's the demo.....

the graphics aren't consistent. auto replays look great, as does on the field play. but what's up with the quality of the user replays? they look horrible.My score for Madden 13: 4.5/10
3 points for graphics, 1 point for the passable commentary, and a half point for the boxart. I can give no further points since the all over the place gameplay would ruin it anyway. -

on the field gameplay looks ok, because the Camera is zoomed soo far back.....but when it zooms in close...or you do a user controlled replay, you see how horrible it looks....the uniform textures look really bad, almost PS2ish.....they look stretched out and the colors look bad....but off screen footage of the game looks so nice it is deceiving.....
I don't know maybe it is just a because its a demo...or maybe the Jets field doesn't look nice in this game compared to the others.....but to me Madden 10 had better looking fields...I wonder if the "new" lighting (which more looks like they just messed with color/contrast settings) had an effect on the field detail.....
if you play Madden 10, afternoon game, at Cinncy....and use the broadcast cam...it looks realistic....but when I was doing the same in the Madden 11 demo, it didn't seem as nice.....again I think it might have more to do with the Jets stadium not being as nice as some of the others.....this used to be the same in Madden 07-09 for my 49er's Stadium...it did not look as nice as the other ones in the game, compared to ones for teams like the Titans, Bills, Chargers.....but the last couple of years they nailed the right colors for the grass and just overall atmosphere at Candlestick Park.Comment

I don't know man, im really scared. Im an online player and I've been waiting FOREVER for the Dolphins to get a good WR. Last years Madden was so good, I have VERY few complaints. Im nervous this one is going to let down. I HATE that new strategy pad.Comment

I agree. Despite a few problems with the demo, I think that the graphics appear much improved and better, especially the lighting. The New Meadowlands Stadium may be one of the best stadiums in Madden to play in. I also like how the cutscenes flow better. They don't seem out of order and as weird as they did in Madden 10. That really helps the presentation. Of course, my experience could be different from one without an HD TV or the same quality TV as mine, but I don't know how anyone can say that the game looks cartoonish, or like a last-gen game. This game, to me at least, looks like one of the prettiest football games I've ever seen, next to NCAA Football 11.-MattComment

I'm the one who said that....I'd take a pic of the game myself and show it but I might get accused of having a bad t.v. or something.....(I have a nice 1080p 120hz Toshiba Regza..horrible sound, but great picture quality)
run a replay and zoom in on Sanchez's jersey.....from the the shoulder pads to just the overall jersey, the texture does come off as last gen.....especially when you do the same thing with say Madden 07 on the PS3/360....do the same thing and take a pic and you will see what I'm talking about.....one is high rez (07) the other is VERY Low rez. (11)
edit- the cut-scenes look very nice though....I'm sure they added lots of effects, kind of like replay shots in Forza or other racing titlesComment

Just did what you said I have two 360's hooked up to two identical HD 28 inch monitors and does not look low rez to me, compared it to madden 10 as well and beat it also so not sure what the deal isComment

found Madden 07....put it into the 360, started it up.....started a game and compared the 2?
also, when I was talking about Madden 10, it was more to do with the field...and I felt it might actually have more to do with the Jets field not looking as nice as the Bengals field.....
also since Madden 07 the player models jerseys texture rez have dropped to achieve 60fps......and so of course Madden 10 would look around the same...

you are using promotional shots.....if you can you should take some pics yourself from these games and upload them.
I'll do it tomorrow evening....
also again just incase there is miscommunication, I'm talking about the resolution and textures on these player models.....I'm not saying the player models themselves "look better".... we all know the 07 models look all roided out...Comment

I actually think the graphics are quite improved, if even just a little too dark. The lighting is better, but because the demo is a night game I'm not going to pass judgement yet.
The player models look good, but the faces are waaay better.
Also, the running animations look 100x better too!Comment
