What's Going on in your Franchise?

I got the idea after seeing what "mm boost" posted in the 'How Frequently do you play ESPN NFL 2K5?' thread. Its so exciting to read about other people's franchises . . .

So How are you guys seasons going? Have you created any great players? Super Bowl wins? What season are you playing?

I really just want to know about everything going on with your game!

My original XBOX just crapped out on me. I actually started a franchise with the Dallas Cowboys today on my XBOX 360. Going to change things up a bit as well. I am going to use the default rosters and try to build a dynasty.

I am going to start a franchise with the original rosters and sim the reg. season games and just play the post season minus the pro bowl. Should be fun. I should be able to do 30 seasons rather quickly that way.

I started playing this game again and decided to start a franchise using dan77733's 2004-2005 franchise file with the packers and I've been having a blast. The only thing I changed from his file was I up'd the salary cap and edited the Willie parkers and Wes Welker's of the league so they will have some playing time down the road. In my first season I wen't 13-3 winning my conference but losing to the Buc's in the divisional game. Ahman Green won the rushing title rushing for 1900 yards and 12 touchdowns. The eagles beat the Buc's in the conference championship and wen't on to beat the colts in the Super Bowl. I had a really good offseason and actually had a good draft for once, probably by best ever. I picked up Asante Samuel, in free agency and traded away my 2nd and 3rd string CB's one because he was injured for 8 games and came back and got injured 2 games later for the rest of the season. The other because he just got manhandled in the playoff game against the Buc's. I traded for Ryan Picket DT who ended up being an 82 and Brandon Chiller who is playing really well especially on special teams. In the draft I picked up my starting ROLB 74 rating who is a really good pass rusher, my starting SS 71 rating. I also drafted a 64 rated QB who reminds me of McNabb, a 65 rated G, a 62 rated DT, and a 58 rated MLB. Now I just played the 1st game of my 2nd season coming back to beat the Lions 35-34 after being down 7-28 at half time. I lost Ahman Green for the season so no more running game unless I trade for someone. Well thats how my franchise is doing anyway.

I'm playing w/ the Cowboys right now. I played the first game against the skins it was pretty close, had a little trouble stopping McNabb. I decided to trade Williams, Newman and a 2nd to the 49ers for Taylor Mays and a low rated WR. Having a blast playing the game. I plan on drafting Prince Amunkaramara or Ras-I Dowling in the Draft to replace Newman.

My 360 just got the dreaded E74, so i guess my franchise will have to wait. It sucks.

Using the default rosters right now. Dolphins are 1-1. Using Bills sliders with my own tweaking as I play. Really hard game right now. This is my first real extensive PT with this title on the original XBOX.

Going to down load a ton of franchises from 2Kroster site and start an 1984 Season Franchise first.

You cant replace Terrance Newman!!! HE Terrance Newman!!!! LOL

But I started up a new Franchise with my cowboys with the old rosters. and its super fun!

SO here is the state of the Dolphins

QB we made one exception to Bills house rules and landed Kurt Warner.

Currently 1-1 and at the half of my current game down 6-0 against the Steelers. What an **** defensive struggle. After passing for 347 yards and a 4TD's against the Bengals....I can't even get across midfield against the Steel Curtain.

Sick game. And I am loving this game so much. Like a kid in a candy store right now.

Alright...after downloading a bunch of historic rosters we are playing the 1983 Dolphins. I want to see If I can recreate history by playing the 83-86 seasons with each roster set.

So I started this weekend and got in week one vs Buffalo. We are 0-1. We were down 17-7 going into the fourth quarter when Dan Marino led his troops back to tie up the game by hitting Nat Moore in the back of the end zone for a game tying TD.

The Bills won the toss in OT and Joe Ferguson on the first play broke out of sure fire sack by Doug Betters and hit a strike to Joe Cribbs who was running a wheel route down the sideline. He took it to the Miami 23. Instead of running the ball and setting up for a winning FG Ferguson play actioned to perfection and hit a strike in the endzone for the winning TD.

Big downer...but what a game. And wow...playing with classic rosters is really bringing back so many memories.

David Woodly started this season and it was not until the second game against the Bills that Marino got his first start. Well we are trying to rewrite history and see what would have happened had he started from the get go.

I started a franchise with the Lions last year when my 360 went down. I finished season 1 7-9 after a 7-5 start. missed the playoffs. I signed Tim Couch as my QB and he started 9 games. After the season I traded Harrignton to Carolina for their 2nd round pick. I am 0-4 in season 2 crazy part with this game is I am having a blast anyways. Charles Rodgers my stud WR is taking time off again for the 3rd strait year he is finishing the season on IR (collerbone, broken leg, collerbone) more time to smoke his weed I guess.

Using the last roster set VC came out with. Playing with the Bears. Simmed the first and second season, going 6-10 and 11-5 respectively. Made some decent moves in the offseason that helped me get to the playoffs, going to play some of those tonight. Not sure if I'll sim the third season.

I use a tweaked version of Bill's sliders.

I'm 6-1 using defalt rosters and Bill's Sliders. Made a couple of Roster moves...Sent Testaverde packing after a 5 turnover performance Wk 1 in Minnesota to the Ravens for Kordell Stewart. Also gave them a First round pick. I also sent Julius Jones to the Titans for Eddie George.

The 1983 Dolphins are 1-1 going into week 3 at the Raiders! Plunkett, Allen and company vs Marino, Duper, Moore and Clayton.

I JUST bought 2K5 for $.99 at Game Stop, and you guys are pumping me up to do a Franchise myself with historic rosters.

I think I am going to go with the 1999 rosters and rewrite history with my JETS and erase the devastating Testaverde injury week one vs the Pats.

That was our season, we were the favorites, and now its time for payback, Im taking my team to the promise land!

Just have to make sure I got alot of good linemen, dont want Vinny getting touched LOL
