My Letter to Backbreaker Santa :D ...

This is what I want to see in BB2 (in addition to all the wonderful things the patch is going to bring)

    PRESENTATION STUFF (sound, graphics etc)

    Commentary:

Give me some good play by play commentary. Hire the dudes that did the NFL2k commentary. I'm not saying steal everything word for word but look into actually having them do commentary before the snap, after the snap, after the play is over and DURING THE REPLAY. I was watching some 2k5 videos last night and I realized this made the replays sooooooo freakin sweet. Also talk about certain players and not in some general canned way like Madden does with it's super stars. I mean literally talk about them as the season goes along with commentary that is relevant to their perfomance during each season as well as in whatever game they are currently in.

    Faces for the players:

I don't mean on the actual on the field models. Im okay with the vizors. I think it makes everyone look tougher anyways...but give them generic faces when looking at your roster and stuff. Like NCAA but of course NOT the faces NCAA uses. Heck id be cool with headshots of the vizor like players for BB2 right now. Its little things like this that give the players more of a personality. Its more of a connection between us and our dudes on the field. When one makes a badass play, i cant explain it..it just feels COOLER (not that its not cool now cuz the repalys are awesome).

*Not sure if this would be crossing the line too much but we seem to already have a team of badass modders out there that gave us an amazing NFL package. I wonder if they had a way they could import thier own jpegs/photos for the players. Now THAT would be badass!*

    GAMEPLAY (game mechanics, camera, etc)

Not too much here. I actually dig the gameplay. Maybe have a little more variation in the models of the players. I understand due to the awesomeness of the physics engine being used that we might be limited on just how many different "body types" you could get but it would be cool (but not a must have) if the WR's were a little skinner, the linemen a little fatter lol, the RB's a little smaller. Again, not high on my wish list but a cool "nice to have". I put this under gameplay because Im sure the models would affect tackling, hitting, etc.

    OTHER GOOD STUFF

    Coach Mode:

I like watching this game more than any other sports game meaning its just as entertaining for me to watch the game from a "replay style camera (like side view but not total side view..i think people here know what im talking about) and let me call the plays. I know thats not some people's cup of tea but I would at least like to be able to call the plays, and if i want to control something while the play is going on i can, but if i dont, the CPU will do everything. I'm also a fan of this mode because it makes you have to really look at your talent and who you sign in free agency and in the draft. I could go into Madden, NCAA or any other football game back in the day and take the worst team and dominate because of my own joystick skills...I like to get away from that sometimes which is why I love coach modes in games.

    Custom Music Tracks:

Take the customization of the game even further by letting us put in our own music for TD's, kickoffs, replays, etc.

Franchise Mode records, awards, etc.: This is self explanatory.

    Injuries

This is all I can think of right now... but could you imagine a retail BB2 game with all of the things I listed including the new patch coming? You take a BB2 game like that and let us go out and get those NFL custom teams the modders have made and you literally do NOT have a reason to buy any other "pro" football game every again.

Santa... I hope you read this letter... take your time, do it right... we are patient if we know its coming...thats all we really want to know... when it gets under our trees, you will be rewarded with more than just milk and cookies.

^^^^^This and...... all 32 teams user controlled in season......either accelerated clock or 7 or 8 minute qtrs. option(5 mins. isn't enough and 10 is a little too long).

I just want to see a BB2, I really think in 2-3 more versions if the company can survive financially, this will be a very good FB game.

Yeah I mean as long as they keep the game "editable" they now know there is a community behind them that will mod the game to make it so people can always get thier "NFL fix" without having to go pick up Madden. If I won the lottery, I would put money behind them to keep the game going...

...hmmm... I'll be back.. going to the gas station to get some tickets

Even if BB doesn't sell well, it's not going to be a big blow to NM. They've always made their money through licensing their technology to other companies and they've done quite well. BackBreaker is a just a new venture for them, it's not their chief money-maker.

I would also like to see some snow as well and some dirty jerseys in the rain and see the water come off the players bodies after one of those great hits. Also user control of the 32 team season, minutes, awards.

              NFL licence..

Thinking more realistic I would like more gameplay options like camera angles (I understand the design idea but give us a choice), sliders to fine tune the play, franchise, as well as presentation mentioned above.

Player editing and better player models are HIGH on my list. That and i want them to keep improving upon the season mode.

                    1. Have the uniforms get dirty even in rainy snowy games
                    2. Have the players or a choice to put in more stadiums and a deeper playbook( i like the one we have now)
                    3. I saw a field goal and the ball rotated the wrong way
4.Able to have a custom music soundtrack for the game
                    5. Deeper franchise mode and the ability to create th schedule yourself( not a cpu generated schedule)
6.Ability to have a practice mode to take your team into.
7.maybe some refs but not really needed but definitely have the field look worn after the game has been played or during franchise mode.
Some stadiums because of the weather and the wear and tear of the year resod the field and it plays a minor part of the game but its a cool thing to see from time to time. Update the rainy game feature so you can actually tell its raining when your playing and snow. Dont mistake these as a rant I enjoy this game a great deal and I would debate discuss and suggest at least a rent of this to anyone. I just enjoy having options and a choice to play and see a great game and I believe that this is it. Thanks for listening to us so far and keep pushing the envelope. oh yeah Backbreaker Santa I would like apresent too lol!
