He should be there but the Jets shouldn't have came up to him in the first place and told him they would consider redoing his deal for him, even though he still had years left.#RespectTheCultureComment

With the short shelf life of an NFL athlete plus a lockout coming up you can throw all that out.

 Revis get your money.Comment

Re: Jets owner doesn't think Darrelle Revis will play this year

That went out the window when agents starting calling all the shots.

My guess is this will play out like the Emmitt Smith situation and we'll see how desperate they are(either side) by the 2nd or 3rd week of the season. And I bet the majority of his teammates are fine with this...The mentality of a player now is, "get your money" so don't expect a huge backlash when he returns.

And concerning the owners quote, thats just postering. Hes making the fanbase think they've done everything in their power to get a deal done. Its smart as now everyone fan will looks towards Revis.Comment

Maybe they want him to have that spectacular season again before they give him Asomugha type money. Nothing sucks more then giving a guy a lot of money and watching him become average.Comment

Corners like Revis just don't become average. There is no evidence to make you think he had a fluke season.Comment

Re: Jets owner doesn't think Darrelle Revis will play this year

I think he's probably pissed right about now that a Andre got his contract and is now the highest paid player at his position and he's not even the highest paid Corner on his team(If I'm not mistaken). I still think they'll get something worked out even though the owner and the coach is telling the media that they feel he isn't going to be there.

Bottom line he should be there but, isn't. And with some of the big name injuries going around lately it's only going to make his decision of holding out even worse.Originally posted by WatsonTigerOne out of 7 billion, and we still tagged your ***.Comment

Re: Jets owner doesn't think Darrelle Revis will play this year

CBs are not good on their own. They depend on the DL/LBs getting pressure on the QB. An average CB looks great when pressure is there. A good CB looks average or even bad when the rush is not there.Comment
