Are there a lot of injuries or is it me?

I'm experiencing lots of injuries but the previous threads i saw on this issue sorta dismissed the idea, and i was unable to search any more.

In all my time playing Ncaa11 I've played and had these injuries

Season with WVU: QB RB WR all out for season
3 weeks with Tenn: RB out for 4 weeks SS out for season

In my Online Dynasty me and two of my friends have all lost our starting Rbs by week 5

So is it possible I'm playing too aggressive or is this a widespread issue?

    Thanks for Input.

It's football. People get hurt. That's about all I can say. Players should get knocked out for a while. What team can say they haven't had a guy knocked out for at least a month before?

Just you. I only get the in game injuries where they will return soon...I am actually looking for more injuries. That might be just me.

The great majority of injuries that I see the guy only misses a play or two.

Same here. Although occasionaly I do see a season ending injury but not very often.

That's still how football is. Guys get the wind knocked out of them, roll an ankle, get a bruise. They just get a shot in it, hop back out, and play. I still feel the game has it right.

In my OD three of our five users had starting runningbacks get injured for over 8 weeks. Then one player lost his starting QB for 8 weeks in the first game of the next season. I like when one team loses a star and is forced to scramble to find a replacement, but this is kinda ridiculous...

There's not enough injuries if you ask me. I'm waiting for the time when I have a season get completely derailed due to multiple players going down. It'd be real annoying but it happens in real life and it'd add to the game.

I like when people are running around with their QB and I pop him and knock him out for a game or more. I also like that there are actual reprecussions for not doing things like subbing out starters late, or spreading out carries. Oh you wanna leave your HB in during a blowout? BLAM 5 week injury.

I just wish there was more variety, only players I ever have go down for extended periods are QBs/RBs/WRs.

The thing that bugs me is two of the three players that got the big injuries to running backs are playing realistically. My friend playing as oregon and I both take our players out in blowouts... However, our friend playing as Wisconsin won John Clay the heisman in the first year, when he got injured it didn't seem to phase hin, his backup won the heisman the second year.

Re: Are there a lot of injuries or is it me?

I had my number #1 QB out for 6 weeks. And 5 plays later my #2 qb out for 6 weeks.

I played with my #3 for the rest of the season.

I've had star receivers with 99 injury miss 3 games. 1 game.

Injuries are alright. Maybe there aren't enough?

The injuries seem par for the course to me. People get banged up but it doesn't seem excessive.

I'm all for having injuries. I understand its part of the game. But I have never seen so may hip, elbow, and shoulder bursitis injuries. I think I might have seen butt bursitis too. <~~~I have two guys out 3wks with it. not really.
                          I still love the game!!

Thanks for all the replys. I agree with everyone saying football is a contact sport and injuries occur to various players. I slide with my QB and get my players out of blowout games so no worries there. I guess my bigger concern was the fact my starting running back can't stay healthy through one season which i would think should happen.

Maybe if i duck out of bounds more and don't fight 1 vs 4 tackles i can reduce the hits on my backs and keep them on the field.

I use backup running backs via formation subs, sometimes one, sometimes two depending on the team and the depth chart. It still allows me to average 25-30 carries a game with my starting HB, but the minute his butt turns yellow I change formations to get him off the field.
