Need help with the freaking Qb sneak....
I was playing N.D. and was a heavy under dog with rutgers. I am down 3 pts with just a few mins left in the game. Its 4 and goal on the HALF yard line. I choose qb sneak to try to get what would be the game winning score. But it just so happens that when i snap the ball i have No control over the qb and he just flops on the ground for no gain. So i dont have to tell you i lose this game which would have probably brought me in a few recruits since i had some coming to this game. Now if i would have had control of the qb and I got stoped at the line that would be fine. But when the qb just flops down on the ground and theres nothing i can do about it really pisses me off. Anyone else have this problem?

I mean I definitely understand why Tiburon decided to do it that way - it completely eliminates the cheesing that you could do with QB Sneak in years past. Unfortunately, the solution is not executed well at all, and things like that happen all the time. I just avoid QB Sneak at all times now.Comment

You can steer your QB left or right still so I look for a hole to the left or right and steer for that. Even then you won't get more than a yard (and probably won't get a yard).
Also, the "dive" animation only triggers against a 5 man front. If they have 4 or less, you can run with the QB. If they have a 5 man front and you don't see an open gap, you can audible to a normal run.Favorite Teams:

I haven't done it on this years game but last year I would set my line protection to aggressive and push forward diagonaly left of right as I snapped it and would consistently pick up 3rd or 4th and inches.Comment

Honestly I'd rather have it unplayable than broken.

well a qb sneak it really only based on the push of the line. So next year they really need to base it on that. If your line doesnt get the push then more than likely you wont get the first down. I would have no problem with that. If they do get the push then you get the first down. Just hope it gets fixed for next year. But this year is by far the best on the next gen connsoles

I only use it when I have a yard or inches to go and it works every time. I gain just what I need but as mentioned before you need to steer his dive otherwise you're screwed.Comment

not executed perfectly but its an improvement over the past and i like it, generally youre not going to see a huge push from the oline because everyone is trying to get low while on the game its standard stand up run blocking, this seems like the best solutionComment

I actually finally had a qb sneak where he stayed on his feet and I got a few yards without the qb just falling down. Don't know what I did but he just ducked his head and team on.Last edited by chuck2530; 08-15-2010, 02:08 PM.

I've had 4 sneaks in a row from inside the 1 fail to get me the TD, even though on three of those plays my interior line were all getting push into the end zone. I'd rather be able to get a yard when I need it instead of hoping my QB doesn't keel over from a heart attack upon receiving the snap and get nothing. How realistic is it that he isn't even getting stopped, but willingly goes down to no contact. It's stupid.Comment

Never had this work for me, so I gave up calling it. I had a 3rd and goal with the tip almost touching the goal line marker and two QB sneak plays later the ball turned over on downs. Both times the QB just flopped like a duck to the ground. Lost the ball, with the ball (where they marked it during the transition) sitting ON THE GOAL LINE. I scored. But the challenge said "nay", sooooooooo I forever struck this play from my game plan. I will ALWAYS have the FB or TB carry from now on.
Life's lesson learned.......
