    Hanley Ramirez

I saw that Hanley was on the trade block at the begining of year 3 in my chise. FA market stunk and I was looking to upgrade my lineup after sucking in the playoffs and losing game 7 of the ALCS...AAAHHHH!!! So I put together a package with Fausto Carmona and 2 POT A players and they accept. I look at his stats and they were not so good in the first 2 years of my chise. Under .280 and less than 15 HRs in both years. His rating were not what I thought they would be and his POT is a C.

Is he the most horrible underrated player in the game or did his ratings fall from 2 sub par years. The roster I used (I think) was the full minors available in the end of May. If he doesn't improve my trade will be terrible!

Well, I can't remember exactly, but I think the OS full minors use one of the rosters from before SCEA released an update to fix the potential of several players.

But just out of curiosity, I'd like to know why you didn't check his ratings BEFORE you made the trade. I'm going to take a guess and say that it was because of his name.

You should realize that The Show (and pretty much any sports video game) views each player as player #123456789, not as Hanley Ramirez or anyone else. So, it doesn't take into account what real people think about certain players. It's just another player in the eyes of the AI.

I was surprised they accepted the trade. I did not give up anything I wasn't willing to part with and I felt a little dirty after I got him. I think this game is very realistic and thats why I love it. For the first time in this game I felt like I cheated the AI and pulled one over ont them. Now that he had some down years, I think my trade is more realistic. I am trying to turn him around now like what the Bo Sox did with Lowell. I was just shocked he wasn't a beast in the game. I thought he would be A-Rod status. It was a fair deal. My team trying to get over the hump and the Marlins add to their stock pile of young talent as usual.

With all due respect you were the one who lost on this trade. Just trading Fausto Carmona straight up for Hanley is a bit questionable to me because he is so good in this game, his splitter which is his R1 option has many arrows indicating the nice break he can produce and that just gives you a clue.

Now that we are on the subject about prospects, I have an obsession about developing fictional players into superstars so I give up great players on my roster for prospect packages and I have about 4 A prospects (all pitchers) and 2 of them are on the starting roatation at around age 23-24 (can't remember really well) and on draft day I pick up a SP. Currently I'm flooded with prospects which are starting pitchers. The trade was a bit bad, but I don't blame you for rushing it because he was an RL superstar.

I will defend my trade of Fausto. I am loaded with pithcing talent. I think his movement is amazing in the game and he is tough to hit against, but to pitch with him is the most frustrating thing on this game. His control is terrible and it is tough to even hit the general area I am aiming for. When I have a couple good inning with him his confidence goes up and pitching with him is a dream. After a bad inning he gets extremely wild. I had im in the rotation even though I had 2 young AAAers rated higher than him. I got so frustrated with him in 2 yrs and giving up 5 HR to Jim freakin' Thome in 2 starts in the ALCS...lol Couldn't take it any more and I needed a right handed bat in my line up really bad. I went into the playoffs with 5 lefties 3 switch hitters and only one righty in my everyday line up. Next is the Tribe winning the WS in 2012 in my chise!!!!
