Megatron3's AA Sliders (version 1.0) - ************************************************** ************************************ First off, I would like to thank SN for all his hard work in coming up with his slider set. His sliders served as the basis for my post-patch sliders and labbing. While he is busy with his move and his new marriage, I want to continue with putting together the best game settings I can. House Rules No switching on defense. I usually play as the DT, and I try to stop the run, get after the QB, etc... The only gameplanning I usually do is set D-line to aggressive and QB Option to Conservative. I sometimes use pass commit on 3rd & long. On offense I don't do any gameplanning at all. I use "ask coach" and choose from the plays (keeps me from using my favorite plays over and over). Also, no user catching. UK RBs had 6 broken tackles. Analysis: I think it's really difficult for the CPU to run the football from the spread formation. I'm going to try a game against a pro-style offense next. Hopefully the CPU run game will improve. I also plan to bump the punt accuracy up another notch (from 85 to 90) to see if that will help with the CPU shanks. I am also considering bumping the CPU RB ability (from 50 to 55), but I think I'll wait until after I play against a pro or multiple-style offense. |

UK RBs had 3 broken tackles. Analysis: Considering these were two evenly matched teams, it appears we have a lot of work to do. The South Carolina running back mustered only 16 yards on 9 attempts. I'm definitely going to up the CPU RB ability to 55. I'm going to bump CPU punt accuracy up to 95. I am reducing USER pass rush down to 40. Also, while the number of penalties is probably about right - they are quite annoying. I'm still thinking about this one. Up next, Georgia. |

UK RBs had 0 broken tackles. Analysis: As you can see above from the pancakes, sacks, and interceptions, I was getting owned in the trenches all day. My running back had 19 rushing attempts, and 25 yards, with zero broken tackles. On a positive note, I was glad to see the CPU offense generate some good drives and a solid rushing game. They were definitely the superior squad in every aspect of the game, and it showed. Two of my interceptions came in the opponent red zone because I was under tremendous pressure. Other than my yards per carry, I was pretty happy with the result. The dominant team was dominant, and I struggled to convert 3rd downs. I will up CPU punt accuracy from 95 to 100, and I will decrease CPU rush defense from 95 to 90. It seems I've struggled with the run all 3 games. Time to try another opponent. |

UK RBs had 3 broken tackles. Analysis: This game played out really really well. What you don't see, is that MSU had an 85 yard TD run called back with a penalty. That would have made the rushing yards a little better I think. They really didn't run the ball much because they were behind all game. The sliders seem to be working pretty well now - at least, for the last 2 games. This game was actually a really close game until the very end. Both teams were able to move the ball up and down the field pretty easily. I scored 2 TDs after they went for it on 4th down deep in their own territory. One change I'm going to make is to decrease CPU FG Accuracy from 55 to 50. The only kicks they've missed the last 4 games was when they lined up 55+ yds away. And even those were on-line. I, on the other hand, missed an extra point in game 3, and I missed a chip shot in this last game. I may up the user FG Accuracy from 15 to 20. |

UK RBs had 4 broken tackles. Analysis: Vandy seemed to move the ball well several times, but they just couldn't get the ball into the red zone. The Vandy QB also struggled a bit with pressure (5 sacks). I think home-field advantage and the snow might have played a part in this game as well. Punting the ball seems to be very difficult on these settings. I've been shanking punts the last 5 games, but I haven't gotten frustrated until this last game. I'm bumping User Punt Accuracy from 10 to 15. I also need to reduce the offsides slider from 75 to 70. The CPU has been offsides quite a bit the last few games. |

I just finished my latest game with my AA sliders, and now I'm depressed. Kentucky just waltzed in to Knoxville and just blew the doors off the vols. Something like 42-0 was the final score. Tennessee could do nothing on offense. This is starting to get ridiculous - I'm going to have to switch to Heisman to get the CPU offense going. As a matter of fact, I'm posting on Fistofrage's slider page right now. I can't seem to get enough offense from the CPU on AA. |
