Weird NC Game

I just finished my 2nd year in my Buffalo Dynasty and I seen that the PITT Panthers won the NC and I wanted to see who they played. So I checked and they played the Cincinnati Bearcats. How does that happen?

PITT was the only undefeated team after week 17 and Cinnci (11-1) lost to PITT in there regular season game. I've also noticed post patch #2, some bowl games aren't following the normal tie-ins. I never seen this before the 2nd patch, anyone else seeing weird stuff?

Wow.

Dynasty mode is the heart of the game. How issues like this go unnoticed is beyond me.

For whatever reason, the team at Tiburon just cannot pull this game together on the current gen of consoles.

Worst. Matchup. Ever.

Imagine if that were real......the ratings would plummet!

I haven't seen anything like that yet. Year 2 of my dynasty, and once again, Bama's number one, and Wisconsin is #2, 4 games in....

Year one ended with #1Wisconsin battling #2West Virginia for the NC, with WV winning. I guess they lost a bunch of players, because they started as the defending champs, but are ranked #5.....

Who was the #3 in your dynasty?

Troll? Is a troll someone who posts something that you don't like, dear leader?

Have you EVER seen two teams from the same conference play for the MNC?

When that starts happening, and bowls aren't following their normal tie-ins, you basically don't have a legitimate dynasty mode. Dynasty mode is the heart of the NCAA series!

I'd like to see Tiburon clean up issues like this so that ncaa as a series can take a long overdue leap forward.

But, for whatever reason it just isn't happening.

There are no tie ins for the National Championship Game. It's not even a bowl now it is a seperate game. The only tie in that game has is BCS #1 and #2, and it hasn't happened yet but they can be from the same conference.

I had two WAC teams play each other for the national championship in one of the games several years back.

Right now I've got the Sun Belt #2 matched up against Sun Belt #3. I forgot which team was #3, but MTSU was #2.

Read your post again, you immediately go and attack the development studio and the game. The game is not perfect and everyone knows this, they don't claim it is perfect. If you don't think this year was a leap forward for this gen you are crazy. I guess I will wait for you to put out your own perfect version of NCAA....

While the above mentioned scenario would be a ratings nightmare on TV it is indeed possible as the BCS National Championship game has no tie-in conferences and just selects #1 and #2 in the BCS standings. So since Pitt ran the table there is the possibility that Cincy piggy-backed off this and were able to recover and gain enough points to finish #2. As for the bowl tie-in's, many of the current bowls have alternate scenarios in case something extreme would happen. In your season having the Top 2 Big East teams out of the picture the bowls with Big East ties would somehow have to make up those spots.

The week before the Conference Championship Games the Top 5 BSC were...

1. PITT
2. Cinnci
3. Alabama
4. OSU
5. Oklahoma

I forgot to see who won the Conference games but figured someone would leap frog Cinnci.

In my PITT dynasty I went 10-2 (Winning the Big East) my first year and thought ok I'm going to the Orange Bowl, but instead played Alabama in the Feista Bowl. TCU and Texas played in the Orange Bowl that year. 2nd year went 10-2 again (Winning the Big East) and played TCU in the Sugar Bowl. 3rd year went 11-1 (Winning the Big East) and finally played VT in the Orange Bowl.

Where would you like to start? How about the fact that Pitt and Cincy are in the mnc in year TWO of a dynasty? Yeah, that's realistic.

Or the fact that two teams from the same conference are playing in the mnc game? It hasn't happened. It won't happen. And, you def should not be seeing that in year 2.

The scenario that the OP described is not realistic, bottom line.

You can excuse every issue that the game has by saying, "It COULD happen."

There's no depth chart issue because A SS COULD also play DT. And, if a qb pump fakes backwards, every member of the secondary COULD bite on the fake.

The fact of the matter is that they haven't been able to turn the corner on this gen. They basically admitted that in of their blogs.
