    The Boise State Broncos

I just started a dynasty with them. Wow.
I had to do a double take after I saw the #1 overall recruit in the country - some phenom running back from New York - actually has me as one of his top schools.

This team is absolutely locked and loaded for bear. You just as easily could end up with 300 yards on the ground as you could passing. Having run with SMU then Houston, getting huge chunks of yards running the ball is such a foreign concept to me but it's nice to be a balanced prolific offense for once.

This team is a juggernaut but still retains it's small school charm and QB Kellen Moore is the Joe Montana of NCAA 11.

Oh, and I just beat Va Tech in the season opener. BCS Championship here I come.

Be careful with recruiting though, it is tougher than it seems wth Boise. I mean it is Idaho so you have no in state recruiting. Also the pitches for Boise are a lot lower than any team you recruit against. They are fun to use though and even 3* players will be 10x better than what the other conference teams get.

I see what you mean. I've got alot of 4 star and a couple of 5's on my recruiting board but it's a tough go. Conference Prestige, Program Tradition and Academics are really killing me. I'm actually in danger of not landing any of them That, and when I schedule a visit and the recruit takes one look at that blue field I think I get a penalty or something.

Yeah, I would use the search recruits and sort by only top 3 or top 5, to try and find guys that you can realistically land. I would have to fill half of my recruiting classes with 3* players for depth. The 3* guys are servicable as long as they don't have to play right away though.

I used to live right across the street from the stadium for a few years. All the coach has to do for recruiting is take the kids down to downtown Boise on a friday or saturday night. The bar/club scene down there is insane and it rivals 6th street in Austin TX. You got about 6 blocks and two streets of bars, one after the other, and its walking distance from the campus.......campus lifestyle should get an A+ in the game.

Yeah I bet all those 17 and 18 year olds are won over by bars they're not supposed to be allowed to go in until they're seniors.

He didn't finish his story. The next day they went out and saw the famous potatos of Idaho. That instantly made them commit.

LMAO! Thats what I said when I got stationed in Mountain Home but I learned to love that place and made the most of it.

At least the game was realistic and Kellen Moore didnt try to leave after his Jr year to go pro. All the good QB's out of Boise have made it into camps but thier size usually works against them. I dont see the Kellen leaving till his SR year.

You'd think that, but money talks awfully, awfully loud these days. In my materialistic mind, I would leave Boise, Idaho in a heartbeat to get paid multi-millions to play in some of the country's biggest cities. Without a doubt. My bet is if Jake Locker doesn't go to Seattle in next year's draft, Moore will whenever he comes out. That gives him the "luxury" of staying close to home and playing for an up-and-coming NFL team.

But there's the issue of a NFL lockout in 2011, which might cause a lot of high profile guys not come out early
                      My Teams:
                      NCAA FB-Oregon Ducks
                      NCAA BB-Gonzaga Bulldogs
                      NBA-Portland Trail Blazers
                      NFL-Carolina Panthers
                      MLB-San Francisco Giants
                      NHL-Los Angeles Kings
Won't change this signature until Oregon wins a national championship (started 3/10/10)

Im not sure how you're ranking guys, but Kellen Moore would be lucky to be picked on the 2nd day of the Draft.

A lot of people can go on and discuss his height, but the real focus is on the system, his teaching(or lack thereof at BSU), and his actual ability.

Hes highly rated in video games because hes a good QB for Boise and they get by with him, but in actuality he isn't going to be high on any draft board.

From the 2010 *****'s Guide to the Top 25. Major tongue in cheek here.

                          3. Boise State: America's Sweethearts, my ***. I'll be damned if I'm cheering from some dip**** team from the middle of Idaho. Let me ask you something: If everyone in Idaho died tomorrow, would you care? I mean, just DIED. A virus sweeps across the state and wipes out every last man, woman, and baby. Every Idahoan, dead in a puddle of their own **** and liquefied organs. Would you really give a crap? I say no. Oh, I'd turn on the news and say, "Oh, ****! All the Idaho people are dead. That sucks." Then I'd turn off the TV and eat a box of Teddy Grahams. I'd pretend to care in my mind, so that I wouldn't feel like the really ****ty person that I am. But deep down? I wouldn't care. I wouldn't even care if I had relatives living there. If they were living in Idaho, they were probably relatives of mine that were all ****ing weird and creepy and lived in a compound. Or they were insufferable outdoorsy *******s. Or they were rich ****ers who skied. Either way, Idaho is pointless.

Good point. It's well-established that bars across the country have a 100% success rate in keeping out minors. And I've never once in my life seen a single freshman or sophomore even attempt to enter one.

And most kids turn 21 their junior year.
