    will sliders help?

I havent been able to get any help with this topic but my games are really lacking sacks from the D-line, I've played 8 games and have only been able to record 1 sack. My D-line from RE to LE overalls are as follows, 89, 82, 88, 85. I'm getting to the quarterback a realistic amount of times, but he always throws the ball off, even when it appears his back is on the ground... is there a slider for this or what can I do? I have tried different tactics when closing in on the QB such as diving, hit sticking, jump/swat(thinking since I was in his face he would only pump fake) nothing worked. Any input?

    Yes.

I used DB's sliders and they worked well.

They were hum pass rush 60 tak 56 or 58. And pass blk at 45 for cpu.

I have recently put cpu pass blk at 50 default and they work very well. Only had 1 sack against Saints but 8 vs Eagles.

I would recommend either Mikeownz or Playmakers sliders.....both sets seem to be the very best on here. I personally have been playing with Mikeownz's slow set and I will be going in this weekend and doing all 32 teams offensive and defensive gameplans to really make it as tight and true NFL sim styles as I can.

best way to generate sacks is good pass coverage. I play w/the Lions and maybe have 30-35 sacks through 11 games playing 8 min quarters w/no runoff. It's the same as last years game...coverage sacks make up the large majority (at least for me - I don't play on the line, ever...I play fs 90% of the time).

EDIT: Sorry, wanted to add that I absolutely NEVER call a blitz either...it's a little backwards

I've been getting sacks on my game, we have 2 in 2 games but the Panther's D-line isn't the best by far (Our LB's are great though) But the games with my sliders (that I've had) have been pretty realistic. I can't vouch for others that have tested them, but the results of their games as well seem realistic as well.

So if Playmakers doesn't work for you, try mines.

You are exactly right. It is just like last years game. Almost let the cpu get comfortable back there looking for a few seconds... and bam!

Thats why I just gave myself a slight boost to pass rush, to the cpu default pass block. I fear if it is too much of a boost the cpu will unload fast every pass. Just enough that my guys can get by(60), without getting pancaked.

And I do blitz, but not too often or else again they will unload it in a second.

Thats pretty far from realism if you are bringing in 8 sacks against the eagles not very realistic IMO

It was just a one time thing I think.

Havent had close to that lately.

                    Re: will sliders help?

I think the Eagles allow a lot of sacks for some reason in this game...I sacked them when Vick was in about 8 or 9 times in a game as the Packers (I forget which sliders I was using though). But yeah, I think the easiest way to get sacks is by spreading your d-line out (left and up on the d-pad) and then making them go around the o-line (left and up on the right stick). Then control the left end and do a couple moves with the right stick...you can probably get at least a sack a game with the LE this way. Also, as others have said, sending a blitz will cause the QB to get rid of the ball more quickly than just sending your basic 3 or 4 rushers.
