It irks me to no end that 2K never manages to correct this major flaw. Every year, our created players and draft classes come in to out games with no visual representation... the league quickly becomes a sea of the "no face" baller, and it makes it very difficult for me to enjoy the player because to me, hes not really there... an afterthought by 2K. One thing I loved about CHoops was every player I made, and that came in seemed to live among the rest... they were on the same equal footing so to speak, which made everyone believable. I see that 2K once again uses real photos for the current players in menus and such... does anyone know how they will handle non current players? And, if they do use real-time players for menus of these ballers, wont that clash with the real photos?

In MLB 2K10 they had pictures for fake players, so I would think it's gone.Comment

They need to do what Live(?) did in one of their 200? games where the profile pictures were animated.
I can't for the life of me remember which one it was......we held several meetings to discuss the future of the franchise. After going through those meetings, it became very clear that the vision I had for the game was different from where the leadership wanted to take it. I parted ways with EA shortly after...Comment

To me, it is. Having my created player that I worked so hard on come into the game as a no face baller, totally kills the experience for me. Every time I look at league leaders, or players of the week, or player cards... its a constant reminder by 2K to me, that that baller doesn't really exsist... that hes not important enough for 2K to care about. Whats worse is eventually, the league becomes nothing but a bunch of no name players, that you have no idea what they look like until you actually play said team and see said baller. Thats MAJOR!
I hope 2K uses a real-time stills of our created players and draft classes this year... I wont go as far as to say I wont buy it if its not there but, without it, I don't see myself playing this game for too long. 2K, we need our players to appear official and one with the rest of the league.Comment

I don't think thats the answer either. Do it right... half stepping only leads to greater frustration. 2K use to do this thing were they would morph current player's photos together to create a player card pics for draft classes... the problem was that it looked nothing like the in-game baller. 2K has to get it where its an actual picture of the player thats being used. Inside Drive use to do it on Xbox... I don't understand why we cant get this over 5 years later on 360/PS3. Even if its a optional free download pack that enables it, it needs to get done.Comment

This is a major issue to me because it kills your immersion into the game. I'm surprised they still use the generic black shadows because I would have guessed it to be a easy fix.Comment

Yeah, like somebody already mentioned, just do it CH style and use an in game still instead of any photographs. This would be superior in many ways, even for real players.
For example: It would always have them in their current gear, including current jerseys, and it would be a seamless transition to created players in association.
I totally agree that this is an immersion killer, and it would be a simple fix.Comment
