Nah, just messing around with Ultimate Team. For the record, it was on rookie because it was in a default tourney, but I'm just trying to figure out some of the new deke combos.

So does that mean some of the tourneys will be on different levels like fifa? If so, that is cool.

Was the ref actually missed on that check or did his model just not react at all?

It's hard to tell from the angle whether you actually connected with the ref or just with Erat.

The hit missed the ref, but when the ref skated away he did clip through Erat.

Looked like a boarding call, guess the ref missed it. :wink:

There is no way that guys get back up. Marleau is 220lbs. I hope real physics take in account of real injuries.

I doubt we'll see it getting that in depth this year. Lets just appreciate what it is for what it is...

a ground breaking gameplay enhancement. I'm sure we'll see the day that real-time physics injury logistics are implemented.

I agree. I was thinking games will truly take off to the next gen when they have more players animating the motions. It would be great to have every player strides and shots in the game someday. Maybe some day we will have that.

He was too busy trying to save his own life.
One thing the NHL series could use, and I think 2K had it before, is different ref personalities.
I think there were 3 kinds. The one who called a fair game, the one who called anything he saw, and the one who was blind.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I love the new physics based hitting.
Some of the checks look brutal.
Although elbowing can be a bit odd at times. I've had a handful with no elbow.
But none of the odd, or bad checks can take away from the sheer awesomeness of driving a gun into the boards.

With all the OSers that got it yesterday I would've thought this thread would be more active. I hope eventually the thread gets cleaned up and more streamlined, as we see more videos posted here.

I can't say enough how impressed I am by the look/feel of this game. It feels so raw/natural compared to NHL 10. The bounces of the puck, the way wingers move around the boards behind the net (and the way D-men follow), the movement of the puck in the O-Zone.

Anyways, it seems that there are different camera angles you can use during a simgle replay. Pretty excited about that.

you could do that for the past couple years in NHL and FIFA, you have to set markers with the up/down d-pad buttons within the replay, pretty much break it into sections and change the camera angles, filter, and/or speed inside each marker
