    T.J. Houshmandzadeh to join Ravens

I love it! Ozzie aint playing no games this year.

In a surprise move, the Baltimore Ravens reached agreement with former Seattle Seahawks wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh on a one-year, $855,000 deal, according to league sources.

Wow... I'm... I'm... speechless. Damn T.J. The Ravens are playing for keeps this year.

Just to add, Joe Flacco has to be the happiest man in the NFL right now. And how did Chicago and Washington not jump all over this guy?

The guy did just get cut. I doubt he's anything close to the player he used to be.

Well, he doesn't have to be a game breaker. It's such a wow thing because he caught 79 balls in a mess of an offense last year, and he's not going to be asked to be a #1 in Baltimore. He's a physical slot guy that's going to move the chains on 3rd down. Add that to what Boldin brings, Ray Rice running and receiving, etc. and it's going to be a nightmare matching up with the Ravens... if everyone stays healthy.

Yeah, I wonder what happened. The Ravens got him for the league minimum. Something must be totally different about the guy.

They got him for the league minimum because Seattle is paying the rest of his 7.5 million for this year. If they weren't he wouldn't have signed for the minimum.

If he were worth more than the minimum another team would have made a better offer. The 7.5 million was guaranteed by Seattle, right? He would get that money no matter what contract he signed.

Another thing about the 7.5 million is that Seattle apparently felt it was worth giving up that guaranteed money to get him off the roster. Housh is clearly a stop-gap in this situation because the Ravens feel thin at wide receiver for this season, but if they find someone better and younger (say, in the next draft) they won't want to keep him around.

Can I state how ****ing bitter I am that Ozzie Newsome, one of the greatest Browns players of all time and probably the best current GM in the NFL, is running the Ravens win titles?

                    I hate this division...

Between this and Boldin, Flacco must think every day is Christmas

If they get anything out of Stallworth then they have the best receiving corps in the league

This is a great pick up for the Ravens. Housmandzadeh can still produce, he had a solid year last year in a horrible offense. I always liked him when he was a Bengal. He will be productive for the Ravens, and as a Bengals fan I do not like this move because it adds another threat to their offense.

And for some reason if he doesn't pan out, oh well. Seattle is basically paying his salary, good move by the Ravens.

Man Flacco has the pressure on now. He has 7 legitimate threats. I LOVE IT. Come on Monday Night.

                          Boldin
                          Mason
                          Housh
                          Heap
                          Dickson
                          Pitta
                          RR

Now if Jared Gaither would take off his skirt and get his head right then we are in serious business. Kindle should be with the team today too.

I had a feeling he would come back to the AFC North, but I don't know if he's the right WR for Flacco. He's not exactly a short passer. Him matching up against Hall/Joseph or even Ike Taylor, I don't like his chances. I think it's a solid move though, good insurance policy for Boldin, who plays like a maniac, and Mason who's 58 years old.

I think Housh is going to be slot. He's being listed as the #3 WR.
