I suppose but during the season the more threads to generate discussion the better unless they are overly repetitive, such as we wouldn't need 30 threads about Terrelle Pryor, but one wouldn't be bad. Besides if this kid lights it up and goes to the Downtown Athletic Club, the OP looks like a genius for telling us about him early on. If he flops it becomes comedic.

Good point! I still think it's early to be hyping him up though, we'll see how he does against real competition before we can really judge him.

Auburn fans were talking about Cam Newton's great game in the thread reserved for talking about most of the games this weekend. If AA had made a topic about Newton's game against 4-8 Arkansas St it would be more or less the same thing. Unless records are broken or there's news there's no real reason to create a thread for an individual player during the season.

This is double plus true when it's a thread about a 250 yards of total offense game by a QB against a team on a 21 game losing streak who last year ranked second to last in points allowed and third to last in yards allowed.
