Re: Attribute effect???
It creates a wider gap between lesser players and stars.
So if a guy is really weak with puck handling, with that slider maxed, you'll notice he loses the puck a great deal more when deking. Just like a guy like Gaborik will be a magician out there because his attributes are so good. -
Re: Attribute effect???
i dont really know much about gregory campbell, but I sure as hell hope he is as good in real life for the Bruins as he is in this game. He flies in this game. Is he really that good??
If so, the Bruins didnt even use any vasoline when they raped Florida in that Wideman deal.Comment

Money do you think leaving this slider in the middle causes players to play more like their real life abilities? It creates a wider gap between lesser players and stars.

Re: Attribute effect???
I think last year, that was the consensus. Leave the slider in the middle. If you raise it, it's going to not only increase your superstars, but it also increases the lower players as well. There is not distinction in the player ratings for this slider to know who to boost attributes to.Comment

really? the way I read the games description is that it increases the difference between the best and worst players. meaning attributes have a greater effect on the individuals performance, i dont think that it boosts EVERY players attributes, that would be pointless. basically say player A is a 90 in one category and player B is an 80 in the category on default. When you max the attribute effect it makes player A play with a 95 in the category while player B plays with an 82. (hypothetically) Originally only a 10 point difference, now theres a 13 point difference. I also think certain #'s prob get rounded down, say at like 70 all those stats and 70 below would be reduced to increase the effect of the attributes on the game. I'm just throwing out these numbers as an example of how i think it works.Comment

Re: Attribute effect???
I know one thing...with this slider maxed, star players are absolutely unstoppable, especially since the poke check isn't extremely effective.
God forbid a star get the puck near the crease...

Re: Attribute effect???
I dont know but I enjoy the gameplay better at half , just like night and day and IMO opinion maxed is way to damaging attribute wise .Comment

Re: Attribute effect???
In the description it says that attribute effect is the effects that attributes will have on your players. I wonder if this is only tied to user players since it says, "your".Comment

Re: Attribute effect???
What I wanted to know also ? anyone
And I always took it as players would play more like themselves you know off there real attributes but I know last year if you maxed it was tougher to skater ect , you know control your player passes and tons of overskating and controlling the puck so i just leave it at med .Last edited by dorismary; 09-12-2010, 04:22 AM.Comment

From my understanding (and from what I'm seeing on the ice) with the slider maxed it makes the CPU take your attributes into account to a greater degree.
Like someone said, if your puck control/deking is at 80, with the slider on medium, the player will still be able to pull off some sweet dekes.
With the slider maxed, 80 isn't that great anymore. But if you have a 90+ rating for those skills, your puckhandling will stand out to a greater degree.
I look at the slider as 'salt'. It brings out the skills (or deficiency's) more.Comment

Re: Attribute effect???
yeah the way i read it is that if the slider was 0, every player would be able to do things irregardless of their attributes. At maxed, only those with high ratings would be able to pick corners, or deke, or whatever it is the player is trying to pull off.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment

Yeah I noticed that too in game, Campbell has some jets for a checking defensive forward.i dont really know much about gregory campbell, but I sure as hell hope he is as good in real life for the Bruins as he is in this game. He flies in this game. Is he really that good??
