career ending injury
i was in my 8th year of my offline franchise with the texans and i drafted a 3rd wr. he was a steal overall 81, a great compliment to my team. i simmed through my preseason and when i checked my roster b4 game time wk 1 i saw he was injured. when i looked in the injury report to see how long he would be out. it said broken vertebrae career ending. i have never seen this before, has this happened to anyone?

Plenty of times I have seen this type of injury. It's pretty cool actually. |

I suggest you sign a young wr with good catching skills, try to turn him into a star! |

One time it was the very first pick in that years draft. As a side note we need more kicker and punter injuries.

Re: career ending injury
I have not seen a career ender yet in my franchise... But I have a question to those that have... How does it work with the salary cap?
Let's say I have a 1st year guy with a $10m bonus, what happens at the end of his "career ending" season? Does he retire and the contract simply goes away with no penalty? Do I have to cut him and get hit with the cap penalty? |
