    PS3 Demo vs. Full Game

I'm curious to know how the full version on PS3 compares to the demo. As everyone seems to know, the PS3 demo was a little sub par and possibly an older build, so I'm just curious to know what's changed and if it's a little closer to the 360 demo.

The biggest things I noticed were the lack of court reflections and serious lack of sound effects (most notably balls bouncing off the rim) in the demo. I can deal with reflections, but the lack of sound effects in the PS3 demo make me wonder.

I would also like to know the same thing.

I'm more than likely going to pick up a copy of the game on Friday.

I have both consoles and will base my final choice from online feedback this week.

Reflections are in the game, but not like 2K10 or the 2K11 360 version. They show up more than enough, especially in specific arenas. Final verdict, they show up MORE than in the demo.

For the sound effects, they are also in. Not sure how it compares to the demo. Wasn't noticeable enough.

PS3 full version graphics > PS3 demo graphics

When the 2K12 Wishlist thread comes around, make sure you let 2K know how much you want the PS3 version to look just like the 360 version.

Well this is good news at least. Really, the sound effects thing bothers me most. In the 360 demo they're fantastic, but in the PS3 they're just not there it seems.

looks alot better, still has some jaggies. color palette is actually better than 360 imo(more realistic look). most important thing is it runs perfect from what ive played. framerate is great and controls are very responsive for me. i would say for 2k12 wishlist thread i would ask for 360 polish(jaggies, courts) with ps3 colors. i don't know if its just me but with the way i have my tv settings, i can get the ps3 version to look really realistic. the 360 demo looked great but is very bright and has a more cartoony look. i think a mix of the 2 and it would be perfect.

The demo does not do the game any good. I played the demo and had second thoughts about buying the game this year.

I'm blown away how smooth the game plays. Like someone else said there are some jaggies but you will not be disappointed. BUY THIS GAME!!!!

anyone with the Ps3 version should try to turn down Sharpness on your TV. It made all jaggies disappear on my 50 inch.

Re: PS3 Demo vs. Full Game

Well besides my PS3 dying during my 2nd game here are some clarifications.

                - Graphics are MUCH better from demo.
                - Sound is MUCH better than from demo.
                - Color isn't as bright as 360 version, much more darker, realistic look imo. But 360 could be argued looks "better." Both in motion look unreal though.
                - Online controls do not lag...at all. I've played thousands of 2k games online and 2k11 for PS3 doesn't suffer from the lag that 2k9 and 2k10 did.

Overall, the demo was a very shallow representation of the full version.

Basically, you get more shine, brighter colors with 360 version. The PS3 online games that I played were flawless. Other than my PS3 dying, this game is unreal.

Kobe plays like Kobe and setting up teammates due to sim play has never felt better. Love getting doubled only to kick it out to Fish. I love it.

That makes me happy. Confused as to why 2k would release a half assed version of the demo on one console but not the other, but happy. Jaggies, while ugly, really don't bother me thaaat much and it's a worthy trade off to play the game on the system I prefer. The sound thing and the general slapped together feel of the PS3 demo made me have my doubts though.

                  Thanks for all the input!
