I don't expect a complete NHL roster update until at least every team as played a game.

I've been waiting for a month now, I can wait few more days or a week until getting it.

I too am eagerly awaiting the opening day rosters. Still can't believe roster sharing is disabled, so I am left waiting until EA's offering goes live.

Hopefully we'll get something by the weekend.

I thought there was some sort of rule with the NHLPA that a player is not a member until he's played 10 games or something. If that's the case, don't look for anything extremely accurate for at least a month. CHL guys are fine, but ECHL guys etc. aren't already covered under EA's rights.

Can anyone verify the specifics?

Give it till at least next week boys and then the one after that they normally clean it up pretty sweet Gear , all rookies ect and such
but I have a feeling the first one will be even better this year

I'm not holding out any hope they'll clean up the rosters. There's already been what? 3 rosters so far and Turco is still wearing his Dallas Stars pads.

They normally get the basic stuff like turks the first few trys after opening day but then it drops off fast at least it did last year

I just hope they update the the Junior team rosters, so I don't have to play a season with 21 year olds anymore, and be able to easily update my own rosters, without creating all the new 16-17 year olds in junior it is near impossible to get every player where they need to be

Today was Thanksgiving in Canada, so they weren't likely to release an update to anything.

Just an update, a mod over at the EA NHL forums posted this yesterday:

"The NHL 11 Roster update will be up within the next two weeks, as the season has just started." - 10/11/2010 20:01:08

Agreed... They should've had the rosters ready to go and after every team played a game, Press the button so to speak. 2 Weeks is pretty crazy.. Who knows they said within 2 weeks so it could be 3 days or it could be 2 weeks LOL

yep, especially considering they do weekly updates for the NFL, and at the start of the season were very quick to fix the rosters up.

Amazing how one company can let one product be so much more of a priority.

I dunno. I don't mind waiting a few weeks just to make sure they get the ratings right. That way nobody stands out like a sore thumb.
I mean let's see what would happen if they based the rosters off the first weekend of games.......

Derek Stepan (NYR) would be ranked in the high 90's in every offensive category.
Tyler Myers (Buff) would be ranked in the low 50's for defense based on Saturday's game.
Martin Brodeur's goalie ratings would be in the negative.
