    the same plays are in different formation playbooks...

    why is single back trips the same exact plays as shot gun trio and so on, etc...


    this has to change

    I can see your point, but don't some teams do basically that in real life? So they have an under center formation and then a shotgun version with similar / the same plays.

      These are not the same formation...clearly. And in some of these playbooks, I certainly use them both.


      My first and most important decision when picking a play is always whether I want Singleback, I-Form, or Shotgun.


      Singleback formation is easier to run out of, but against a tough defensive line, your QB is more likely to get sacked. Shotgun is the opposite, it's tougher to run out of, but against a tough defensive line, you've got more time to get rid of the ball or scramble away from the pressure.
