Yep. Not to mention I'm the University of Texas out of the Big 12. Playing online dynasty against two other users with default settings/all American/default schedules. They game is completely biased towards SEC/Big 10 teams. Even when I have more wins against ranked opponents it's not enough. I've been preseason #1 two years in a row and keep getting jumped.

It's pretty interesting that you said that. In my dynasty I swapped the Big 10/Big 12 teams and there's been a "Big 10" (Oklahoma and Texas) in 5 of the 7 NC games. This past season, it was an 11-0 Texas team that went to the NC game when there were 5 other undefeated teams.

Yeah EA got lazy and didn't actually make a "BCS formula" which actually takes schedule strength into account (it says it does but it doesn't). It uses conference ratings and the SEC is a A+ and the Big 10 is a A and the Big 12 is a B+. So basically, it doesn't matter WHO you schedule (unless you happen to schedule a team that otherwise would be undefeated). You will get jumped by an undefeated team in a higher prestige conference than you.

YES!!! Same exact thing is happening to me as UT. Big 12 teams dont get credit in this game. Eventually I had to start scheduling high ranked out of conference games (after 5 years undefeated without a Nat. Championship bid) which is completely unrealistic.

This isn't always the case. In my last season with Michigan, who is in the Big 12, I was #2 going into the conference championship games with FSU #3. I beat #22 PSU 45-3 and FSU beat #11 Miami by about the same margin. After the game,13-0 FSU from the ACC (B) jumped over 13-0 Michigan from the Big 12 (B+) to get their shot in the NC game.

I just played the MNC this morning in my Iowa dynasty.. Me at 11-1 vs Ohio State at 10-2, who I beat earlier in the year lol

No undefeated teams in the country but a ton of 1 loss teams.. And Ohio State didn't even win the Big 10.. Michigan did(who beat me)

            WAT

I've won a National Championship in my online dynasty from a WAC team...just make your schedule more difficult.

Re: Haven't lost in 4 years and can't make BCS title game

I'm having the same issue in my OD's but, it's with any team I use! I went undefeated with #2 West Virginia and was jumped by a 1 loss CPU team for the National Championship game. I was the only undefeated team in the nation and I was jumped... I figured the Big East was not going to get me there so I switched to Miami and the ACC. I was undefeated with Miami when the commish advanced on everyone even though, we hadn't played our games yet!

Of course my team was the only one in the dynasty who lost...

I win all my remaining games and blow out Florida State (the CPU team I lost to when he advanced on me) in the Conference Championship. I'm 12-1 and #2 in the nation at this point... The commish advances the week and I'm jumped by 11-2 LSU for the National Championship game.

                I can't believe this!

The commish blows out the LSU user 42-0 in the NC Game...

I switch to the Big 12 and #6 Texas... I lose the 2nd week of the season to #2 USC user. I go on to win 10 games in a row! I'm #3 in the nation and my final reg season game is against that same #2 LSU user's team that jumped me the yr before. I blow out the user with #2 LSU and I jump to #2 behind the commish's #1 Ohio St team. He advances the week and I'm jumped by #3 CPU team Oregon. I can't believe I beat the #2 team the week before and I'm jumped by 11-1 Oregon who beat # 22 Utah!

I play my Conference Championship game against #11 CPU Nebraska and blow them out but Oregon goes to the National Championship game anyway...

So the commish blows out the CPU Oregon team in the NC game. I blow out #13 Pitt (CPU) in the Fiesta bowl to finish 13-1 and i'm jumped by 11-2 Notre Dame (CPU) in the final polls to finish #3.

Re: Haven't lost in 4 years and can't make BCS title game

I don't know if the conference prestige plays that heavily. a couple seasons ago in my dynasty, when I was with Buffalo, still in the MAC at the time, I went 13-0, finished #2 and played #1 Boise St. There were two other undefeated teams: Florida at 13-0 and Ohio St. at 12-0. The BCS ranking weren't even close. Boise had something like a .997, I was around a .925 and then the other two were .800-ish.

I think the game may over-weigh margin of victory. Boise was first in the nation in ppg at some absurd number like 58 ppg. In week 9, when I first got ranked, I decided to go all out and started dropping 70+ on everyone. I jumped quick too: at 8-0 I was #25, 9-0 #18 after beating CMU by 60+, 10-0 #12 after beating Temple by 50+, 11-0 #7 after beating a final score of 70-0, and 12-0 #4. After the conference championship, I moved to #2, jumped ahead of OSU and UF for some reason. I scored 80+ in the conference championship.

                  I don't know, it's screwy.

Bumping this thread because I completely agree that the game has a flawed polling logic. I'm UNC in our OD and I have been dominating my competition this year. I've played a pretty tough non conference schedule as only one non conference opponent was unranked. Also we are in year 2022 and as of now, the ACC is probably the toughest conference besides the big 10. Miami is a power, VT, GT, and FSU are consistantly in the top 25 and Maryland is also pretty good. Most other conferences have maybe 2 or 3 teams that's any good. But after getting up to number 2 in the country I have been dropping in the polls. The final straw was when a player in my OD who uses Oregon just jumped me in the polls. The PAC-10 is beyond horrible at this point and outside of USC, only Stanford is higher than a C+. He also played a nonconference schedule of UL-Lafayette, Western Kentucky, and Army. And as you would expect, they are still horrible at this point. The bad thing is he is barely been winning his games. He only won 17-0 against WKU and has struggled against bad teams all year. But he manages to jump me in the polls. It's ridiculous.

In my online dynasty Boise State won the first national championship, and Texas the second. Right now Notre Dame is #1. I guess I've escaped the SEC/Alabama curse.

I saw Central Michigan go 12-0 and play in the Sugar Bowl (they finished 3rd in the BCS). They dully lost to Alabama 45-0 in the Sugar Bowl. The BCS formula is definitely not implemented correctly.

Yeah, strength of schedule is not as important as margin of victory. I have a MTSU dynasty (sun belt) and I'm consistently in the top 15-25 just because of the beating I put on other sun belt teams.

At the same time, I'm running a Miami dynasty and it's MUCH harder to move up in rank because I can't blow out all my opponents. In fact, I can beat teams who are ranked higher than me and still fall in rank unless I beat them by like 20 points.

What is wrong with this? This example is as good of an example of the BCS working correctly as you can get. If there's a Non-AQ school ranked #3, they're guaranteed to get a BCS birth.

BCS if flawed itself, therefore I see no problem.
