    Keeping Promises to Cut Recruits

I just hauled in about 21 recruits......some with promises made. I cut about 5 of them.

If i cut one where i had promises made, will that be a negative hit to me in any way (coach prestige, etc.)???

I don't think it has any negative effect. I have done this a number of times and never had an issue with it doing anything against me.

I think constantly cutting players will lower your academic prestige.
            NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
            NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
            MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates
            AFL: Pittsburgh Power
            NCAA: PITT Panthers

You have to cut players, though. Otherwise you have too many

True, I don't think I've cut anyone in like 3 years in my MTSU dynasty. I recruit very selectively. Still, I had no idea that cutting players lowered Academic Prestige...why would those things be connected?

If the school has high academic prestige, a kid who got cut from the team should still be able to get a great education, lol.

Re: Keeping Promises to Cut Recruits

There is no correlation with cutting players and Academic Prestige. In fact, Academic Prestige is not linked to anything. There is just a percentage chance each off-season that the grade will go up or down half a letter grade.

Yep +1 this is true according to EA's blog this year. Totally random. I remember it now.
