    CPU is crazy

    When CPU is on offense:
They can score even with a hand in their face. It's almost useless trying to block them because if I don't block them, even with a hand in their face when they shoot, they usually still score.

If I'm not controlling the defender, the CPU teammates don't even bother to block a shot. So if the other team gets the ball and is in an area they can shoot in, they can shoot and each shot is basically an open shot since the defenders don't even jump to attempt to block it even though my contest shot is over 70.

They can easily drive into the lane and always scores once they get in the paint even if my defense pressure is high and the defenders guarding them are great defenders and they're defending bad players, the CPU can still drive right past the defender and get into the paint.

    When CPU is on defense:
My guys can't even get past them despite any sort of crossover or hopstep I do.

When one of my big men are right infront of the net and they get the ball, for some reason they just don't want to attempt to dunk it, they always just go for some sort of layup which always gets blocked or they go for a fadeaway jumper like they're Kobe or something!

Sounds like you should be playing on a lower difficutly. There is no shame in starting on Pro and working your way up. Unless you are already on pro, if so, I guess you need to play on rookie.

The game isn't hard, it's just what the guys are doing isn't what they should be doing. Majority of stuff I listed in my post didn't have to do with me controlling a player, most of it was just the opponent and my cpu teammates.

i agree...im playing on all star and ive noticed the cpu on offense will shoot with 2 guys in his face and still get a "swish"... ive now been using shot blockers on help defence and its helped a lot. ive been able to block a lot of shots that normally would be baskets....but whats so annoying now is if you force the cpu to pass in mid shot...its always a DIME pass and easy basket for it! wtf...

Well you said you keep getting scored on even if you have a hand in their face. If you lower the difficulty, they will start missing those contested shots and they won't drive by you as easy.

Sounded like you were talking about yourself not your teammates.

But yeah, I have a lot of trouble in the create-a-legend mode with my AI teammates being dumb as rocks.

Fortunately there's that option to press x to tell Roy to shoot the wide open 3 instead of dribbling right into the teeth of the defense and pulling up for the brick

So what is the CPU's shooting percentage? Sounds like it's 100% from your post. If so, you have a different game than me. The CPU shoots "regular" shooting percentages in every game I play (usually in the 40% range).

I have no problem with that. I don't have the time to watch the level of "hand in their face" on every shot the CPU makes. If the game is over and the CPU shoots in the 40%-50% range, I'm okay with that.

I think some of you think way too hard, and analyze way too deep. Just play and enjoy.

I just held the Chicago Bulls to 36% from the field with the Toronto Raptors on Superstar/Sim. I lost the game by 22 though LOL (stupid clutch factor!!! I was only down by 5 going into 4th).

The key to playing defense is staying your ground. Don't jump at everything. If you're close enough when the CPU shoots, the game will execute a close out animation for you, affecting the CPU's shot percentage. Basically, you're main focus should be stopping penetration. Everything else will take care of itself.

On the another note, that was the first time I held the CPU to under 100 points on 12 minute quarters.

This game is not for Newbs, you need to step up your play and get right on the sticks before you jump in.

Sounds like you just kinda bad and are whining to me.

                      Re: CPU is crazy

Every single game I play there is an instance where I should get a block and yet the ball shifts directly through my arm and all you can hear is the ball hitting the bottom of the net. I saved about 5 replays of this

Easily the most frustrating thing in this game. I play defense so well that I should have a blocked shot and it goes in anyway? How can I possibly play D any better?
