Roster help for a new 2k fan

I'm new to 2k and was hoping I could get some advice from the roster experts. I've been creating some classic players for a historical franchise and have about 40 guys already. However, I want to download a roster like Nogs to use. Is there a way to combine my created players with a 2k share roster? Or do I have to choose one or the other?

Thanks for the help. I hope I can return the favor as I get better at creating players.

    easy to do.

download a roster you want to use as the base.

    then load it.
save it. so it becomes you default roster.
[make sure you have living rosters switched off or else they will overwrite your current roster]
then download all the created players you want.
    save roster.
    done.

I am also a 2K newb this season and am dissillusioned by the amount of generic players in the rosters of the classic teams.

I know there's loads of rosters out there to download from numerous users to fix this problem, but I am concerned if these roster updates contain changes/editing to current NBA teams then what's the issue going to be with "NBA Today" being effected as I have heard others mention?

Keep in mind I have only played games in the Jordan Challenge thus far.

Thanks for the response. So if the created players are mine and the roster I want to use as a base is yours from 2k share, I'd download yours and save as a base, upload my created players to 2kshare, then download them to the base roster?

This way, I cam just keep creating players until I'm ready to download a base roster. It feels a little backwards but if that's the only way it works, so be it.

no. its no the only way to work.

you can use a roster as a base then create players within it.
but you mentioned that you have created many players already.
they have been created in a roster.
if you dont want to use that roster as a base.
upload your caps to player dna [skshare]
then load whatever roster you want to use.
then download your players to this roster.
          save.
