Association Advice
I am going to start up an association, probably with the Wizards, Blazers, or Clips. Gonna play every game most likely one per day or so, should take me a while. I was wondering is the association good enough to choose one team and play, or should I control all 30 teams and make moves for them and stuff. Pretty much I am just curious what you guys are all doing. ThanksTags: None -

it uld boring and plus controllin all the teams is just ways to make trades go through that wuldnt go through in real life. i mean that just my opinion.I am going to start up an association, probably with the Wizards, Blazers, or Clips. Re: Association Advice
I don't think controlling all 30 teams is necessary. You can have a fine experience by just controlling one.
Yeah, some AI teams will make moves that leave you scratching your head, but that also happens in real life. Makes for a more fluid experience.Comment

Re: Association Advice
turn off CPU trading...unless you don't mind tons of trades happening almost every week. I will probably only turn it on in offseasonComment

Re: Association Advice
This is not necessary. OP do not turn off CPU trading.
The amount of trades is just right (in the 1st season at least).
Granted more real life trades occur during the offseason and in game most take place during the season, but aside from that trades are handled well.
(again, for the 1st year only, after that though...)Comment

Re: Association Advice
What I've been doing is using just one team and you can always resign from your team and choose another one when you need to make changes.
This is good when A) the computer makes a trade that makes no sense. Ex: Boston traded (I forgot who) and got Steve Nash from the suns and they still had Rondo. B) If the team chemistry is totally off for a team because of the injury bug, you can change their role and put them in reserve.... It's also very time consuming.
I see this as the best possible solution because it allows you to still have the sense of uncertainty with controlling one team and to be able to make necessary changes to other teams as needed. Also, when you control all 30 teams, for some reason the CPU makes like 35 trades in the first year which is unreal, and then you have to do all that editing of the minutes.Comment

Re: Association Advice
At first I tried controlling all 30 teams so I would have control of the dumb amount of trades (Nash to Boston happens EVERY time) But then you dont get the aspect of the computer doing anything for itself. Then every trade you have to make for yourself, and since you control every team, it makes it easy to get any player you want, so thats not fun. But if you dont control every team, the rotations reset and players like Boozer, Bynum, and Okur dont start a single game all year, so that sucks.
WHY DONT OUR ROTATIONS IMPORT INTO ASSOCIATION!?!?!?

sorry.Comment

Re: Association Advice
Dampier has signed w/ the Houston Rockets.
Im controlling another team. How do I move Damp from Free Agents to Houston.
I'm pretty sure I chose Customize League, and the other options to control trades.
Computer Trades - Off. If I turn it ON w/ the computer start going ape****?Comment
