MAJOR bug after roster update!
Why is it that after I downloading rosters online when I go to start my Be a GM, the pre-season carries on after the waiver wire deadline? Now, I know this happened early on when NHL 11 first came out, but now I again am seeing Toews, Kiprusoff, etc star players in the AHL.Tags: None -
Re: MAJOR bug after roster update!
Yes this is unreal! Chara, Beregeon in minors for Bruins. Fisher, Kovalev, Kuba for Ottawa. They fixed this once hopefully they can fix again! -

Yeah, I deleted my entire NHL saves, game data and all from my PS3, then redid everything and had no problems with this.Comment

Re: MAJOR bug after roster update!
Well, I can confirm it happens. I tried to take a short cut and send down enough guys off every team to make only 23 players on the rosters, and the game still buries guys like Crosby and Spezza in the minors during BAGM.
One problem is most teams have 4-6 scratched guys. There should only be 3 or less, but even then I guess teams still have cap issues so I'll try to make every one's roster only 20 skaters and see if that works.Comment

Re: MAJOR bug after roster update!
What players did you see in the AHL? I don't know how it could happen for some and not others. There was no Chara in the AHL or anything of the sort. The best players I saw were Nylander and Cheechoo.Well, I can confirm it happens. Re: MAJOR bug after roster update!
i just tried making each team have 20 or less on their rosters. It helped some, but I still ended up with Alfreddson in the minors, the Islanders having their AHL goalies as their NHL ones, and other weird things.
So, however EA fixed this before (maybe making everyone salary cap compliant so the CPU doesn't mess with things at the start of a BAGM?) I hope they do it again.Comment

Re: MAJOR bug after roster update!
Well, apparently the glitch doesn't happen until you sim a day or play a game. I can also confirm this now. Hope EA resolves this yet again by the time the time patch hits. What a bummer. I can't imagine how frustrating this is for them as well. Having it fixed only to have happen again

Re: MAJOR bug after roster update!
this only affirms that EA quality control or testing team prior to release SUCKS big time either that or they dont have any testing team. if i were them, hire PART TIME tester that will be with them until a game is released. i am assuming that their testers are not really gamers such most of us here.Comment

Re: MAJOR bug after roster update!
Funny, I remember this year when the Devils had to play a game with 15 skaters because of Cap issues. This must not be in the programming of NHL 11 instead they just send players to the AHL. From a mathematical standpoint, which is what video games are based on, this makes sense.

Re: MAJOR bug after roster update!
I'm quite pissed off with this. Set up all the lines for the Islanders and watched the game chug away loading up the menu screens etc. Finally hit the ice for a pre-season game against the Penguins. Hmm. Fleury's not starting in goal. Odd. Score an easy goal against Curry... Nah, this can't be right.
Sure enough, go to trade management to have a look at the Pens roster. Yep, Fleury is in the AHL.
It does look like the salary cap bug again. I trusted the CPU to "fix" that again when it said a few teams were over the cap. So, well over a month after release date, we can't start a realistic NHL season for the core mode of the singleplayer game without having to piss about with things. I don't play online and I don't give two monkeys about ultimate team. I just want to play hockey with the current rosters that ice every night in the big league and be allowed to call up / send down or trade a few guys.Comment
