    BEST Historical Rosters

what´s up guys, u might not know me,but i think i´ve made something pretty cool, and i just wanted to share it with u and who ever s interested in downloading, feel free to holla at me,cuz the work is still unfinished..i would also appreciate every comment,or suggestion to make it better, first to my theory, as a nba hardcore fan, u might have realized, that there actually only a bunch of very good teams,so with those making,it makes every team very competitive!!!!!!all the starplayers have been edited, the shoes, accuratly to their stats of that time......my idea was to recreate all the teams,at the time of the year, as they either won the finals, went to the finals,or had the best record of the league or in their history, let´s go to the details,i had to make on decisions on certain teams, depending on how much they were successfull, here is my list:

    Atlanta 2009-2010
    Clippers 2005-206
    Cavaliers 2008-2009
    Sixers 2000-2001
    Detroit 2003-2004
    Pacers 2003-2004
    Warriors 2006-2007
    Kings 2001-2002
    Heat 2005-2006
    Spurs 2006-2007
    Magic 2008-2009
    Wizards 2004-2005
    Nets 2005-2006
    New Orleans 2007-2008
    Lakers 2008-2009
    Minnesota 2003-2004
    Suns 2007-2008
    Raptors 2007-2008
    Bucks 2000-2001
    Rockets 2007-2008
    Blazers 1991-1992
    Oklahoma 2009-2010
    Knicks 1994-1995
    Bulls 1995-1996
    Denver 2009-2010
    Jazz 1997-1998
    Sonics 1995-1996
    Thunder 2009-2010

PS:All generic players from the classic teams have been replaced by their true counterparts,i took all of them on 2kshare,they look real good, and for those of you wondering where all the rookies are, i took most of them and put them on the Bobcats team and some are on the free agent pool.....so what are u guys thinking????all suggestions and critics are very welcomed, but please be constructive,it took me a lot of time, i am on PS3 by the way..............................

    Peace out

    Re: BEST Historical Rosters

Hey laroche360, I just wanted to say that I appreciate what you're trying to do, especially as a PS3 user. I just wanted to ask how you came up with the choice of teams. Is it based on the more recent teams or it is based on the era that you watched the most NBA? No disrespect, I'm just curious.

Because some of your choices are so recent and you were looking for championship teams from each team, I've added in parenthesis what I thought would be a good year for you to work on for each team just as input.

Atlanta 2009-2010 (would the 1958 team be too far back? )
Clippers 2005-2006 (perfect because this team had more success than 1993-94)
Cavaliers 2008-2009 (The 2007 team reached the finals against San Antonio)
Sixers 2000-2001 (I would go for the 1967 or 1983 team here)
Detroit 2003-2004 (Good choice because the Bad Boys are already in the game)
Pacers 2003-2004 (Pacers 1999-2000 made it to the Finals against the Lakers)
Warriors 2006-2007 (The 1991 Warriors with Hardaway, Mullin, Richmond?)
Kings 2001-2002 (Perfect. This team gave the Lakers are run for their money)
Heat 2005-2006 (Perfect. This is the Heat's lone championship team)
Spurs 2006-2007 (2002-03 Spurs had David Robinson, Duncan, Bowen, Ginobli & Parker)
Magic 2008-2009 (This team is almost identical to this year's team. 1995 Magic?)
Wizards 2004-2005 (Good choice but what about the 1978 championship team?)
Nets 2005-2006 (The 2002 and 2003 Nets made it to the finals)
New Orleans 2007-2008 (Great team but how about the 1995 Hornets?)
Lakers 2008-2009 (The 1987 is probably the most popular Lakers team in history)
Minnesota 2003-2004 (Great choice here. This was Minnesota's best year)
Suns 2007-2008 (Good choice for the fun factor but what about 1976 or 1993?)
Raptors 2007-2008 (2001 team made it to 2nd round of playoffs)
Bucks 2000-2001 (1971 team is this franchise's best team or the 1986 team)
Rockets 2007-2008 (Either 1994 or 1995 because of the championships)
Blazers 1991-1992 (How about the 1977 championship team?)
    Oklahoma 2009-2010 (This fits)
Knicks 1994-1995 (How about the 1973 championship team or the 1999 squad?)
    Bulls 1995-1996 (Perfect)
Denver 2009-2010 (1985 team made conference finals or the 1994 underdog team?)
Jazz 1997-1998 (Perfect, although it would be cool to see the 1988 or 1992 team)
Sonics 1995-1996 (How about the 1979 championship team?)

I actually had a lot of fun going through this and I realize that this may require too much work. Just think of it as me getting carried away with nostalgia. Whatever you choose to upload will be appreciated. Thanks for all your work.

      Re: BEST Historical Rosters

Thanks man i really appreciate, here´s the deal, i am not very good at creating CAPS and tendencies etc.....that´s why i decided to take what the game gave me,it´s too bad 2k has not the other legends in the game, also there don´t seem to be a lot of CAPS available specially for ps3 users on 2kshare,that makes it even more difficult even tough ,u had good ideas on some teams, i´m definetelycmore 90´s oriented,i think that was the time where the NBA had his glory days, let me justify my choice on some teams:
-Atlanta 2009-2010:had their best record since the steve smith days, also here no caps available
-cavaliers 2008-2009:i know the 2006/2007 went to the finals, but let´s be honest, that team was really bad,2008-2009 was just ridiculous strong recordwise
-Sixers 2000-2001: com´on AI was just amazing that year!!!!again no caps available for 1983 team
-Pacers 2003-2004:i went with them ,cuz most of the players are still in the game
-warriors 2006-2007: the upset team, was just a nightmare matchupwise for a lot of teams,a lot of fun with them!!!
-Spurs 2006-2007:i had almost 95% of the players available
-Nets 2002-2003: i know they went to the finals, but where the hell can i get the lucious Harris.todd mc ,etcc.....the big three with J-KIDD-VC-RJ is not bad either
-the Lakers 1987 was really good.as u said, but same old here with the players,no caps
-new orleans 2007-2008:i think they challenged the Spurs pretty well that year

The same logic goes for all the teams ,either no caps available or it´s incomplete, 2k has started something really adictive by puting those classic rosters..i think we should start a petition and present them to 2ksports ,that we definetely want DLC with rosters from the 1980-2000 ,man that would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS:the main idea was to make every team relevant, i don´t wanna have 14 to 15 game winning streak, cuz i have to play sub teams on my association, i think it makes the game really fun, specially after i edited the Superstars based on their stats from that year......

OMG!!! These are awesome. These are almost perfect. I made the entire 2009 season roster with CAPS, Shoes, Accessories, Salaries, Turned Down the Ages on Year, Edited all of the Rookies Ratings so when I put them in Free Agency they wouldnt be signed in Association. Having to Assign And Trade Players take forever and ALOT of patience. THANKS SO much for the PS3 Love. Can you post you PSN when your done THANKS SO MUCH. MUCH APPRECIATED.
