    nba 2k11 soundtrack is terrible

Only 3-4 songs that are good...sorry but indie pop/rock does not need to be on a bball title.

I agree 100%. Out of all those tracks, I had to toggle off all but 3 tracks.

Snoop's track, Big Boi's track and Cassidy's track and that's it. Leave the indie/alternative songs to NBA Elite 11....oops?

if you think like that then you clearly dont realise that your life doesnt represent all of existence.

just because YOU dont like it, its not stupid.

I didn't say it was stupid Rook I said it doesn't belong on a nba bball videogame, it does not represent the culture of basketball.. Thats like putting rap on NHL

I'm glad I came to nba 2k11 with an open mind. The game is played by all cultures so theres no harm in having a wide variety of music.

I respect that answer you gave but then this should be across the board for baseball and NHL..I have a real answer for why the soundtrack sounds like it does but I will get banned form OS if I say it.

I'm a hip-hop/rap junkie and I think the soundtrack for 2k11 is good. Usually I just edit out the songs I don't like but this year I have yet to do that and don't plan to. To each their own I guess....

I miss the underground hip hop feel of 2k7, but I thought this year's sound track was at least better than the last couple.

Love Sean P and Skyzoo being on it, though it's a sub par track by their standards.

                        Nothing can top this though.

nothing memorable on here......i just turned off all the songs, except for sirius by alan parsons project. it goes perfect with the jordan, bulls theme in the game. you just can't help but to think of jordan and the bulls when you hear that song.....

Truth. I've never really bought into the idea that rap is what represented basketball. It can complement the game but it doesn't have to. Other music can fit the bill just as well for me. I surely think it's up to who's playing the game.

With that said, I can't really get down with any of the music in 2K11. I've been liking the past couple of soundtracks 2K had put out, but this one just isn't clicking on any level. I'm most often really not a fan of the big time rap, the sort of. . .I guess you'd say mainstream and modern gangster rap (as well as anthems), so Snoop Dogg and friends (Ron Artest and others) got the boot pretty early on. Further, I haven't found any of the Indie rock particularly memorable. Art vs. Science's "Hollywood" has been the only song that made me say "I need to acquire that track."

In 2K10, I didn't even think I liked this kind of music, but I ended up really, really enjoying the presence of Matisyahu, Miike Snow, Adam Tensta, MGMT, Ratatat and others. It was nice being able to just let the soundtrack flow (with some choice cuts removed from the playlist of course).

In other years, I've liked the appearance of Hieroglyphics, MF Doom, Aesop Rock and Little Brother (Carolina Agents). Like I said though, none of the music in 2K11 is down my alley by default nor does it seem intriguing enough (as 2K10's was) to reel me in to discovering some new artists. Well, I mean, I guess I discovered some new artists thanks to 2K11, I just don't care for them.
