I don't get this game sometimes (well most of the time)

Go into Miami to play the 11th ranked Canes as Tulane and hold their offense to 21 points and ~350 yards ( don't even know how I did it, I was shocked)

Yet I play at home the next week against a far worse Washington team and I can't stop them at all? It's just first down after first down after first down.

And their defense plays far better against me too.

I've restarted a couple times to see if it was just one of those random games that pops up that's stupid hard for no apparent reason but it's happened every time so I'm just assuming it's the game WANTING me to lose the game =/

Maybe the game is actually smart and it's a letdown game for your Tulane squad. We see this all the time in college football, teams can't sustain their level of play week to week.

So let's call it a "trap" game.

Haha, yeah that sort of thing happens. I'm playing as Miami (lifelong fan, and a lot of my family went there) and I'm the number 12 team in the country.

I beat Bama (finally) who was number 2 at the time, and then I lose to LSU who was number 15.

The sad thing is, that win against Bama was going to get me into the National championship. All I had to do was hold of an LSU team that had never given me any trouble before.

Now I'm in year 5, and still haven't been to the NC. I always schedule teams who I feel will be in the top 3 - 5 so that I can get my rank up, but I use a pretty tough slider set so those teams are usually fairly smart.

I played Bama once a year for 3 years before I finally beat them. It kinda felt like the "final boss" stages on older video games. Now I have to target LSU, lol.

Kinda like how in real life, wisconsin won against arizona state with luck but yet everyone else they tear apart. Same with ohio state, or better yet oregon where they make everyone squeal but cant do anything against cal. Its just college football my friend. Its why week in and week out its the most exciting sport in america.

So let's call it a "trap" game.

            I second this...

We were discussing this over here:

            http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-momentum.html

            On the restart note:

In year two of my SMU Dyansty, I had a game against USM that I went into at around 6-0...

I could tell pretty quickly that no matter how many times I restarted it, I was going to lose this game by turnovers, or injury...

The gameplay was sooooo "unusual", the light bulb finally went off and I realised that I just had to play it out, take the loss and move on...

Out of four full seasons, this is the only game that I've encountered that was this notciably "predetermined" as a loss....

Things went back to "normal" the very next game and overall, I have no problem with it...

It's a video game, there's hard codes and scripts and it just the nature of the beast...

Conversely, I had a game in year three where the AI must have been "aware" of the fact that I had broken all the school records at the QB position with Padron, EXCEPT the single game TD mark, set at 6...

I played Central Michagan, and from the first double deflection, crazy bounce pass TD, I thought I sensed "something" was up...

Long story short, I easily set the record of 7 TD passes by the fourth quarter, b/c I've never seen my guys this wide open and had this many passes taken to the house via YAC...

So...somewhat cheeesy loss in year two "evened out" by the "I can't NOT throw a TD" game in year three...

The other 58 games or so, much less noticeably "wierd"...

Once again, fine by me...GREAT game, overall...no robo (for me) or any "comeback" code...just the kind of week to week swings college football is known and loved for...
