Cant get game to run on new Xbox Slim!!!

I need help someone. I ran NFL 2k5 on my old xbox with no problem. I purchased a new slim with a 4 gig HD. Now when I try to play the game it says I need to have a harddrive attached!!! WTF! I cant even find the old backwards compatability file I need to run the original game. Xbox no longer supports this. Any suggestions?

I am pretty sure the 4 gig does not count as the external type HDD,it counts more as built in memory storage..you will still have to hook up a HDD to make it work.

I have a external HD hooked up throught the usb port and it still says I need to have a drive hooked up. Still not sure why it wont work.

You need to have a partition on the HD for the Xbox 1 file system since it is not the same as the Xbox 360 file system. Microsoft Xbox 360 hard drives come with this partition.

My guess is the 4 GB slim is not Backwards compatible since the original Xbox 360 had a 7 GB partition on the 20 GB hard drive reserved for backwards compatibility.

So in other words, I am screwed! Oh well, just have to wait for new 2k football game to come out for 360. Thanks for the answers anyway guys.
