I am addicted to My Player mode

I bought NBA2k11 about a week ago. So far I have played only two games in my Association, but played a bunch of My Player games.

Is anyone else addicted to this mode like me?

I haven't touched Association.
I have spent 100% of my time in My Player.
I love it.

I was last year. Not so much this year because of how realistic the game is with the right sliders. I've mainly been playing the Association.

I'm addicted to association and had started a my player character but need to go back to it now the patch is out. I think i'm in the last game of the pre draft camp as 7'0 center.

In the Combine and SummerLeague I was having a horrible time because of the AI chuckin and jackin up bad shots.

But I've played 2 games in the nba now and I'm enjoying it more. I guess the playcalling is making a difference, I just wish the Combine and SummerLeague weren't so.....frustrating.

I love this mode too, but your teammates in the combine are horrible. Even though they are all ridiculous rookies, they take the worst shots ever.

On topic, I love my player he's a beast. I'm a 6'2 176 lbs PG getting 20 points, 9 assists, and 12 rebounds in the combine games. The next Rajon Rondo is about to be drafted

This is my first time playing my player and i love it man. I didnt play last year because the patch destroyed the game. But this year im hearing more positive about my player so i decided to give it a try and im loving it. Im a big man 7'2" 290. Im avg like 15 pts 14 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. I would avg more in the combine if my ******* teammates chucking so much bad shots. And 1 thing i am pissed about when i call for a pass its a bad pass rating when im open or cutting to the basketball. Im like a shaq/duncan hybrid.

yeah most definitely. I haven't played a single other game let alone different game mode since getting into My Player. Incredibly fun.

2K11 has provided me with a great problem, I don't have enough time to devote to all the modes I like. I love the classic teams, I love My Player and I love the Association. Right now I've been pretty committed to Association so classics and My Player have received the short end of the stick for now. Surely, the tide will turn with time.

I am in the same boat. I just don't have enough time to play all of the modes. Last night I played my 3rd Association game. Probably going to work on my Association and take a break from My Player.

After playing 75 regular season games and getting into the WCF, I finally started to get tired of My Player. My Player is an athletic PG and I've reached the point where I can do whatever I want on the court. I'll probably gut out the last part of the playoffs so I can win a ring but I think I'll be playing only Association when that's done.

I would spend some time with My Player, but I dont like the default sliders and I HATE the mini games you have to play to upgrade your character.

If you do well in the draft/summer stuff, what's an expected rating for when you get drafted and end up on a roster somewhere? Is it possible to end up as a highly rated rookie?

I am really into this mode right now but the more I play it seems the more little things are irking me. This is my first go around with the 2kBball series so i am sure the problems are me moreso than the game. First I was drafted by the Heat and most of the time I am just running up and down the court watching Lebron and Dwade do their thing. It seems I havent earned their respect as of yet. When i do get a shot off i usually miss (badly) and the announcer cant wait to point it out!

Another beef i Have is with the rebounding. When i try to run by a defender and get a rebound my player seems to get "sucked" into the defender and I cant get by him. Also the defender does not even have to be facing me but he ALWAYS moves when i do. When i move my player the defender moves the same direction and he facing the other way. I cant even get a step on the guy.

That being said I still do really like this mode. I like dealing with the press after the game. I Love the atmosphere in the arenas. I think this game really hit that aspect out of the park. Cant wait to see if the arenas get louder in the playoffs!
