So many times in game I have been injured and are limping around, and no matter how many times I call a time-out, the CPU still leaves me in the game.

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
I've had the option to sit through or play with injury and I almost always pick sit out because I don't want that limping crap. A few times though I still have that limp crap for a few more games. Not always, but it has happened.Comment

More hairstyle and facial hair options.
More accessories options(Goggles, etc.)
They need to have something like gameface because the cap system is just....
Make the AI smarter.
Plays should be called in every game(Combine & Summerleague).
There needs to be 6 NBA Summerleague games again.
Player's athletic abilities need to be raised. My all around SG started out with a 40 vertical rating :/
Bring back training camp.
Drills need to be more realistic and only cover specific ratings, not 5.
Lifting weights.
Team practices.
An option to hit the gym before and after games and practices.Comment

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
I think the guys that posted missed your point entirely.
He makes a very valid point here, and to be honest the request substitution can be very useful for other things. Say you need to hit the john for a minute or two, request a sub for 2 mins so the game can continue and you can pick back up where you left off.
This could be very useful, not just for the idea you stated, but for other things as well.
Great Idea.

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
I think that My Player needs to give the you a chance to give your player some more personality and more of a story. It would be fun to create a character that evolves. It would be fun to play as the Larry Bird-type professional or the Rodman/Artest crazy and everything in between.
1. Enhance the endorsement aspect of the game by letting players agree to make commercials. Starting out you might get the local car dealership (Rod Tidwell on a camel). As you become a star the commercials get better, eventually giving the option for an MJ/Lebron type Nike ad. They can play randomly during the games. If they really want to take it further let them make a music video or star in a movie. 2k could always put in the option to make you cover athlete for future NBA 2k games. Possibilities are endless.
2. During player creation you can provide a fictional college background for your player. This background could be simple. Were you good in college, did your team succeed, etc. 2k could then get the color commentary guy to create a few 'insert' player name here stories. As you play through your career more commentary is generated based on your players progress. After playing with Kings in my player I am really tired of hearing about Carl Landry's nfl mouth piece, would be nice to hear something about me other than how many points I have scored or the pass I made.
3. The option to negotiate contracts needs to be added. Along with that the player should be able to sign with an agent who acts as an advisor. As far as I have seen there is not a lot of feedback on how you are doing in terms of endorsements. The agent could serve that purpose.
4. If contracts are added then they should bring back the 'crib'. Let players outfit their apartment like in older versions. Add things like being able to see your billboard outside or watch highlights/commercials on the TV. A trophy case, etc. Silly as it was I miss the table hockey game. Other ways to spend money could be charities/basketball camps etc.
5. The press conferences allow a player to create some personality but other outlets would be nice. Letting players do radio/tv interviews would allow them more chances to alter team chemisty, public opinion, etc.
6. Let players give their opinion on the coach. I would like to see some ability to influence the coach being fired or a new coach being hired.
7. Add in the Olympics and World Championships. Getting a chance to play for a national team would help add to the experience and give players another goal to strive for.
Those are few of the things I have been thinking about as I have been playing.Comment

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
What's the deal with all the other suggestions that have nothing to do with the op?
I can't think of how many times I've had injuries that I would've sat out for and just simmed the game because I got so frustrated trying to play with the limp crap.Comment

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
Being inactive for games if you were a low draft pick, and/or did badly in the summer circuit, or recent games.
Being Able to not make the roster in summer circuit and having a draft in the d-league.
Getting sent down to the d-league after doing poorly or not getting enough playing time.
More options to increase teammate chemistry, league popularity, fan support. Like doing the nba cares campaign, choosing not to do an interview, having dinner with team, etc. It does not need to show the animations of them doing it, but it can just say what increased/decreased and describe what happened.
Higher difficulties should:
Influence the number of skill points gained,
Better teammate AI, instead of AI getting worse as difficulty goes up,
The spot you are getting drafted in, but must have a certain stat average, and teammate grade, EX. a guaranteed first round pick in hall of fame, and a guaranteed 2nd round pick/ undrafted in rookie.Comment

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
You actually can. I started a MyPlayer when I first got the game and hadn't learned how to play. Got sent to the D-League after the 3rd summer circuit game. After a few games I got called up. Played poorly on the 10 day contract and got sent back down, then called back up after the next gameComment

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
damn, thanks to the 2 guys who actually read my post and responded correctly, does noone read anymore???
ill break it down for you guys who arent getting it...
-DURING THE GAME
-LIMPING
-ANNOYING
-RUNNING UP COURT BEHIND EVERYONE ELSE
-SUBSTITUTION
im not talking about AFTER the game, im talking about during a 12 min quarter game where you have to limp for 30 mins.
like the other guys said, i would rather just be subbed out and sim till the end than limp around for ages.Comment

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
on the NBA 2K12 My Player Mode yall should make the game more realistic like where you are living your own life and taking the player through every step to where you have to feed him and to where you cause live an outside life instead of in the gym a lot to like you can buy yourself some houses and some new cars and a lot more endorsements...and have where you can drive to the arena before the game and drive home after the game and flying on the plane... and you can have more interviews after the game and to ESPN or to TNT and or the radio and also put better haircuts like the box haircuts and better mo-hawks and better tattoo's such like sleeves and stuff.

Re: My Player suggestion for 2k12
me personally i dont have a problem with the limping... I get hurt almost every game (the same things ankle sprain, and back spasms) and my durability is at 99 !... But when im limping in a game i get up court around the same time my team does, maybe because when im injured and limping my hand never leaves the turbo button lol.Boston Celtics
Pittsburgh Steelers
Memphis GrizzliesComment
