      Huh....interesting if true.

Think that would be a first outside of Madden getting his mug on the early 90's games every year, right?

Here is the link from pastapadre:

Joe Mauer will stay on as the cover athlete of the MLB: The Show franchise. The Minnesota Twins catcher did not have the same great statistical season in 2010 coming off his MVP winning year but still finished eighth in MVP voting and helped the Twins to the AL Central championship. Derek Jeter had a run of MLB 2k covers for a few years.

I think some people would like to see somebody different, but for me at least, it's a great guy to have on the cover

Same goes for Allen Iverson's run of covers on NBA2K and Shaq having back to back covers as well. And Randy Moss was on the cover of the first three NFL2K covers if I remember correctly.

Not a fan of the 'long term contract' coverboy for sports games, tho i only think Acclaim did it with Jeter and Favre [QB Club]. I could be wrong. As far as back to back, Shaq did it for 2k as stated above me.

with Tiger, he was so far and away the best choice that it didnt matter.
Plus, having favre, Jeter or Tiger on a cover is a good choice bucks wise, as they are big marketable names.
Interesting to go back to back with Mauer.

I know its only ascetic but I like the uniqueness of a different athelete for each entry

I haven't head about what he did this season, but I think this is more a testament to his skill.

LOL...I was sort of excluding Tiger from the equation here since he's been on that cover forever, but I had no idea it's been done that many times besides him.
