Coach Retirement in Franchise
When do coaches retire? Is there a set number of years or superbowls that determines it? I'm in year 8 in my Skins franchise and Mike Shanahan is still coaching. He is 58 in real life, so in my chise he is 66 years old. That seems crazy. I've won 3 superbowls with him as the coach and most recently had a 19-0 season. I thought for sure he'd go out after that, but sure enough when I look at my coaches in the offseason, there he is.
I want to hire Ocho Cinco to coach! lol When do coaches retire? |

I think it's 30 years... but I could be wrong.

Dick LeBeau disappeared from the Steelers coaching staff in year 2 of my franchise. Couldn't find him anywhere else either.

Re: Coach Retirement in Franchise
I'm still early in my franchise (week 17 season 3). Playing with GB, last season I fired the coordinators and got some new ones. Jeff Fisher is making more than McCarthy (and he has won 2 Superbowls already). Looking to win a 3rd. I hired Jeff Fisher to take over for McCarthy after the season. If McCarthy doesn't retire I'm screwed for 2 more yrs. until his contract expires.
Fire Shan. in the off season and hire Ocho. |
